I went to southern classic chicken on Thursday January 29, 2026 and ordered my food. My chicken looked like it had been dipped back in the grease as if to get it hot. It made it look real greasy. I didn’t realize it till I got home because I live far away. I was very disappointed. Maybe I came on a bad day. I realize all the restaurants are not the same.

I wound up throwing my chicken out to my dogs. It tasted like SHE i-t. Like it was fried in week old cooking oil. My dogs didn’t let it go to waste. This place has diffinitly changed over the years. Its nothing like it used to be. Thats for sure!!!

This place used to be really good. It was one of the spots I visited when I came home. I ordered a 2 pc meal with an apple pie. First, the apple pies have changed. It’s like some a a crescent roll sometimes that they deep fry and it’s almost $4 now. I didn’t care for it at all. The tea is has changed. It doesn’t taste fresh brewed and taste like it’s made from concentrate. I have been coming here for years and was truly disappointed. Do not stop in the drive thru! It is extremely, annoyingly slow!

This was a bad experience the food tasted VERY OLD. They were out of what I ordered. I paid for it and drove up to pick mine up i was informed they were out of it so I only like a leg so I wanted a refund I was directed to pull back around I went thru all this again still didn’t not receive a refund the window lady talked real fast so I agreed to take a different chicken piece I have severe COPD it was 98 degrees I was directed to the walk up window the food was so AWFUL

the food is tasty, their fried chicken is great. The tenders are meh, nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t choose them over any of the other 4 fried chicken places in town. I did receive one less roll than I paid for but I certainly wasn’t going to wait any longer or go back for a single roll. No complaints on the people, the staff were friendly enough. It’s just too expensive and takes too long to get your food (especially if you need to use the drive through line like I did that day). The drive through line was maybe 10 cars by the time I got in it and it took over 30 minutes for me to get to the second window.
