Great little restaurant love that it’s family owned. If you love trains you’re gonna love the atmosphere. The staff was really kind, but the winner of the game was the food. We ordered a pick two with half of their famous Casey Jones with a side salad and ordered a roasted chicken salad with their mudhen teriyaki chicken. And then we tried some of their cherry crisp With ice cream and their lemon meringue pie let me tell you they were delicious!! Of course the homemade ranch was the best will definitely be back.

This family owned, sister/woman run sandwich shop was fantastic! Simple menu, create your own options, generous portions, chewy toasted bread filled with delicious ingredients, helpful friendly staff, and homemade desserts! I didn’t have room for soup but I’ll bet it’s great too! Love that they have a 1/2 sandwich or salad or soup option at a reasonable price. They take to go orders. Pear salad was on a simple bed of lettuce but look how many pecans were on it!!

My first of, I’m sure, many times here. The sandwich was delicious and fresh, served at the perfect temperature. The pasta salad is made in-house and is refreshing – the feta is a nice touch.

Today was our first visit, we stumbled across the shop while we were out and about. The gentleman, I unfortunately didn’t catch his name, was friendly, polite and patient as we did take a little while to decide on what to get. I got the Wednesday Special Pick two soup and baked potato. I chose the loaded potato soup. My husband ordered the Jamaican Trainwreck. Y’all, run, don’t walk. The food is phenomenal! Absolutely delicious. I recommend them, and I would over and over again.

I’ve been coming here since I was little but received amazing service this time so I decided to leave a review. The entire staff was so friendly and brought my dog water and some chicken! The brakeman sandwich is my go to and the sweet tea is always good. Highly recommend South Bound!

We did not receive lettuce, tomato, sour cream, hot sauce, or our side. The chicken tasted and looked like it was frozen and by FAR the worst restaurant I have ever ordered from In Burlington. This was my first time ordering and it was terrible. I never leave reviews and have worked in the service industry. I honestly could have ordered from Taco Bell and had a way better experience.

I ordered their version of a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and it was borderline inedible. I’m not sure what kind of beef they used, but it was the saltiest sandwich I’ve ever had, to the point I couldn’t taste the cheese or mushrooms. For $16 and change, to get an inedible sandwich, chips, and unlimited refills, I won’t be back. The decor is cool, service was ok, but the food wasn’t worth the price or experience.
