The shrimp and grits were outstanding, and the coffee was excellent. The vegetable platter was good. However, the cornbread was over baked, and the replacement piece wasn’t much better. This was disappointing because we were looking forward to the cornbread.

The restaurant is lovely to look at with great atmosphere and the service is also wonderful. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The food is pretty bad though… overall it’s overcooked and over-salted. The chicken fried chicken was way overcooked. The brisket was tough. The buffalo cauliflower was way way over salted. The brussel sprouts had so much seasoning on them I couldn’t tell what was going on. There’s a full bar so I would recommend this place for drinks only.

Southbound hosted out annual holiday part this year. The staff and atmosphere were fantastic and the food was great. I would highly recommend considering them for your next event. I know we will for ours!

We were visiting some shops right around the corner from here and decided to come eat. It was about an hour before the 2:30 closing, just two of us for a quick bite. We were seated pretty quickly. I ordered the burger and asked if they had lettuce, and our server said “sometimes”. I then asked if the buffalo cauliflower side was fried, and she said it was grilled. Luckily, they did have lettuce. However, the cauliflower is indeed breaded and fried. Odd that the menu calls the Brussels sprouts fried, but those seem way less friend than the cauliflower. Nonetheless, the burger and salmon BLT were delicious. Overall would definitely come back to eat!

Have been here a few times over the years as the area has grown, especially with how cool the interior is.

Have unfortunately not been a huge fan of their food. Tried the fried green tomatoes and the deviled eggs recently which are usually safe bets at a Southern spot but the flavors and consistency were off.

We went between lunch and dinner so maybe the kitchen wasn’t firing on all cylinders.

Bartender was great though and I expect Southbound to continue to do well considering the area.

We heard great things about Southbound, and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. For appetizers we ordered the fried green tomatoes and hummus. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, the jam gave it this unique flavor that i need to have again. The hummus wasn’t our favorite, but still recommend giving it a try. For our entrees we both ordered the meat and 2. We tried both the brisket and the pulled pork. The pulled pork was delicious but the brisket really stole the show. It might be the best brisket I’ve had in Atlanta. We will definitely be back!

I have been here numerous times in the last month and a half. I am gluten free and this restaurant makes it easier to order food. The menu is clearly marked and the servers I have had are knowledge about what is gluten free on their menu. When you order takeout, things are easily ordered gluten free. Their food is wonderful and fresh and delicious!

Really not sure why the reviews are so high here. I will say the staff was lovely and actual restaurant is beautiful, exposed brick and cool vibe. The food however, no bueno. The food was actually stinky when they delivered it to the table. I got fish tacos and brussel sprouts(Luckily the brussels were good). My friend got the brisket/pulled pork and Mac and cheese and fries. No flavor in Mac and fries and good tasting but dry meat.

Awesome food!! We went here for our anniversary dinner. We shared the bloody Mary devil eggs and wings. They were great and full of flavor. Nice original flavor twist. I had the bramble cocktail and it was refreshing and easy to drink. I had the Chile rellenos burger….super yummy!! Cheesy, gooey deliciousness!
