I went on DoorDash and typed in Steak subs. I looked around and this was like one of the few places that offered the country sweet sauce as an option. Never heard of it, idk where it is. The price was decent. When it came to my doorstep I’m like this is kinda small for a large. Bro when I tasted that sub, the size didn’t even matter. That sub was sooooo good. I had an instant foodgasm. I think my toes curled a little.

I ordered a garbage plate, it exceeded my expectations! First, it was heavy. There’s a big portion of macaroni salad, not dry like the other restaurants. There is a huge serving of delicious home fries. The two cheeseburgers are BIG.
I ordered no sauce and the order was correct. Priced the same as other places, I definitely will order again!

Owners are rude. They dont have togo menus and aggresively told me to take a picture of the menu on the wall. They rudely told me to wait outside for the food i can not stay in the building. Food was over priced and small portions. Looks like they have raised prices more since then. I wanted to like this place because other people have recommended it but i just cant justify my experience.

First time I went here i got the chicken Philly and was disappointed. Wasn’t bad. But didn’t rock my world.
But I’m giving it 5 star because I got the steak sub. And my World. Is. ROCKED MAN!!!
Despite what the menu says it’s not a Philly cheesesteak. Breads not traditional Philly bread, no wiz, etc.
But with the option of either boss or country sweet (i chose boss), high quality ingredients, and care in making the sub with a good ratios and care, you will get a delicious “Rochester” cheese steak sub. The boss sauce puts it over the edge.

Been a customer here over 15 years they started on Portland avenue and branched off to Monroe. My family rented a home from them for 5 years so I know these ppl quite well (I thought). They use to be a great place to eat but now the customer service has gotten bad. They just want our money they don’t care about us. I went in at 1:30 am to order a burger at that time of night they only let 2 people in the door and the rest have to wait outside. I placed my order and did tell her I wanted banana peppers but I then changed and told her I wanted bell peppers she said ok. I stood in there waiting on my food and my friend because she wanted to order but I didn’t know what to put on her sub. So my friend walked in the lady then said “I’m not taking her order she gotta go outside” the guy then threw my burger on the counter I opened it and saw that it had banana pepper and not bell pepper so I told her “well can you jus take my friend order since you messed mine up” her husband began to yell at me like I said something wrong and then the wife began to be nasty which all they had to say was “no” . So I said “can you at least fix my order” they rufused to do so atp I ask for money back. I’ll never come here again nor will I tell all friends about this place anymore. You want our money but don’t really care about us. without us (the people, the customers) you wouldn’t have anything. As much people as I recommended to this place over the years i would never recommend another.

Had a plate here last night. 2nd one I’ve had from them and they are amazing. Very well done. My first and all time favorite was Marks, right across the street, but I feel they have slipped over the last few years as have other big names in the area. Great plates are becoming harder to find in rochester. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. I’ll be back.
