Great brunch space on a Sunday. Many choices on the menu. The fresh made beignets are out of this world. Eggs benedict over pork belly was outstanding. Chick and waffles also incredible – crispy chicken with sugar crisps in the Belgian waffles. Such a wonderful space.

This was my second time visiting the restaurant — the first experience was wonderful, which is why I returned. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite.
My guest and I were a small party of two. Our server did not introduce herself, and while the initial wait was understandable, the service throughout the evening was inconsistent and inattentive. When my short rib arrived, it was extremely fatty and not enjoyable, so I ordered truffle fries instead.
When it was time for the check, I politely asked if the short rib could be removed since I didn’t like it. Instead of acknowledging my concern or asking what was wrong, the server abruptly grabbed the plate and walked away quickly. She didn’t address the issue or speak to me until she returned with the checks, and even then her tone and demeanor were passive-aggressive.
The way the situation was handled made me feel dismissed and disrespected. As someone who genuinely enjoyed my first visit, I was disappointed by how unprofessional and unwelcoming this experience was. I hope this is taken as an opportunity for coaching and improving customer service, because no guest should be made to feel that way.

My wife and I have passed the South Village Grille many times over the past seven years and have been curious, so we decided to try it for my birthday and had an incredible time. The staff are beyond amazing and really take good care of you, so customer service here is by far one of the best I’ve ever had. The food is also incredible and delicious with a lot of flavor. The desserts are just the right amount of sweet and are like a festival in your mouth and the mocktails (I don’t drink) are awesome too. Definitely give this place a try. MUCH better than Thurman’s.

Love to introduce my friends to this cute spot in German Village. I always get the calamari to share. Shrimp tempura roll pictured. We also got the parm crusted chicken that was really good and they even split up the dish to two separate plates for us to share.

The food is not as good as it used to be. I was going to get the burger but the server told me to get the cheesesteak instead because it’s was her “favorite”. So that’s what I got, with truffle fries.. The fries were super soggy, as if they had already turned off the fryer and just threw the fries down. For the price it’s not worth it. The meat does not even fill the already tiny hoagie, the bread was soggy like they microwaved, it didn’t really have that much flavor, the cheese? I’m sorry to leave this review. I feel bad but I feel like people need to know the truth.
