Stopped in for carryout lunch. Was busy with a handful of people waiting on orders. Loved the gyro and french fries, delicious and very large portions. The gyro had lamb meat and the right amiunt of sauce and toppings. Can’t wait to try some of their other items.

For a carryout only location that is extremely busy thestaff are friendly and helpful. The food is awsome and the portion sizes are well above averge for the price. It is honestly my guilty pleasure for food when i am in BG and the Hummus Heaven bowl is my go to. The only gripe with this store is they do not have a public restroom, and the closest one is approximately 3 or 4 doors down in a really run down laundry mat. I honestly looks like its straight outta the early 80s and hasnt been updated since. Straight time capsule. But as for the South side six carry out it seems well maintained and always well staffed.

This is theeeeee place to go if you love Gyro’s! Staff are wonderful and not afraid to chat with ya . I drive 25 miles just to get this Gyro ! I pass 25 other places that make them but not one competes with South Side 6 !

There aren’t enough stars. Our Son -in-law introduced us to Southside when he was at school at Bowling Green University. Once you go here, if you are anywhere close, you will make a point to stop by. For us, the hummus is the garlicky main event. We always get some to travel home with us. The pita chips are the best I’ve ever had. Today, we got a chicken swarma. The pickles made it so good. Servings are big. We usually share an entree. It’s the standard by which all other Mediterranean places are measured. There are two picnic tables out front. They have beer and wine. It’s more of a carry out kind of place.

They weren’t lying about the gyros being the best. Definitely worth coming back too regularly. The gyros are massive and are filled to the brim with meat. Very generous size for the price

Went in and got a lamb gyro platter without the bread. So all the fixings on top of the fries, the staff is so polite! They were also super quick with my order. SO DELISH I should have got some rice pudding. I was skeptical at first after hearing they were under new ownership. Anyways, I bussed down on my dinner, and they give you PLENTY of food for the price, 16.99 for a platter and they literally had to STAPLE the Styrofoam container shut. So much food. Delish. (Edit: forgot to add, this platter can be split by AT LEAST 4 people, I have leftovers to eat for lunch im so happy)

I just love their food although it can be a bit pricey. The have a large variety of American, vegetarian and Middle Eastern options. The staff is really helpful when you are choosing what to order.
This is the first time I stayed inside to watch them cook everything and it all looked amazing. They actually had a fresh grilled chicken sandwich. Not something that is precooked & flavorless. I was told that it was the best chicken sandwich that she’s ever had. I had my usual gyro and it was amazing as always. Although we didn’t order it, I saw a RT 25 burger being made and it looked incredible. The bun was grilled and the burger patty was hanging out of the oversized bun. We have gotten wings in the past &, even though I usually don’t like them, I thought they were good.
They also offer desserts and bulk food at very reasonable prices. I got a loaf of pita bread for less than $5 and a huge container of homemade pita chips for $11 and both were awesome. My carryout order took less than 10 minutes to make & the staff was great!
(Just FYI, another review said that they are under new management but it’s the same people who have owned and operated it for decades.)

South side Six has the best gyros anywhere, ever! We drive out of our way to pick them up. Seasoning in meat and the sauce is amazing. This isn’t a restaurant, so there is no atmosphere score. Pro tip….buy a pack of pita, there is so much food packed into gyro you can make an extra 1 or 2!
