Truly memorable dining in a beautiful location. Get a real taste of the Keys and its seasonal fare. Dinner was divine, and service from Tyler was stellar.
The Hemingway Chocolate Old Fashioned made a spectacular finish alongside the peach cobbler. Take your time, slow down, and enjoy the excellent vibe.

The food was not only flavorful but also packed with nutrition. As someone who prioritizes healthy and wholesome meals, I was delighted by the beautifully presented plates and thrilled to have the option to customize my selections to align perfectly with my macro intake. Each dish we sampled was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing exquisite flavors and vibrant ingredients. The atmosphere was equally enchanting, adding to the overall dining experience. Chef Paul was exceptionally welcoming, making us feel right at home. If you’re searching for an idyllic spot that’s conveniently close to Key West yet offers a tranquil escape to savor the charms of the Keys, look no further than South of the 7, located at Mile Marker 17. It’s a true gem worth discovering!

On vacation and we went for a nice dinner. However the prices are very expensive and for such a small portion of food… when I say small I mean very small. And they charge for refills on drinks, when they only bring the first one in a mason jar. The food tasted average for what it was but it was outrageous pricing . Not inly this but as soon as you walk in the whole place is so loud from the bar you can’t even sit at the table and hear the people you’re with . It’s a glorified pub charging like it’s a 5 star restaurant and it’s not. Definitely would not go back very unprofessional host and staff. It’s one of the only restaurants close to where we were staying but I would drive the extra 20 miles to get something better and worth the money .

Hands down my favorite restaurant! We look forward to all year to find our way to Sugarloaf to have a beautiful experience at South of Seven. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful, while the food is as fresh as it gets with flavor popping with every dish. The elegant and fun island atmosphere is addicting to any keys lover. Please take the time to find your way here. It’s an amazing culinary experience.

Remarkable dinner experience. Charming 70’s style building nestled between a small hotel and marina. The marquis sign is not prominent so drive slowly or you may pass by. As soon as you walk in you’ll know this place is unlike many others in A1A.
The atmosphere and decorating with local images and fishing celebrities is worth seeing.
The food and service are the real stars of the show.
The Thai Styled Fried whole fish is an experience. The fish is so light and flaky, you would not know it is fried. The Chef/owner sent a complimentary black bean and tomato soup to our table. I gotta figure out how to make this!
We had one of the few patio tables and caught the last light of a sunset. That’s a million dollar view. Cool breeze and extraordinary service will have us coming back every time we visit the Keys.
The Peach Cobbler and ice cream is TD4 ( to die for).
If there is a wait, don’t leave, it’s worth it!
7 stars.

The restaurant is feet away from our room, so it is very convenient. The servers were amazing and very attentive. They brought us out a sample taste of potato scallion soup from the Chef and Oh My Goodness it was to die for.. soo good…..Hubby had the Tuna poke. The tuna was fresh, firm and flavorful, while some of the rice was a bit dry. The avocado was delish….I had the duck wings which was overcooked and dry, but it had some flavors when you used the dipping sauce. We also had the French onion soup small portion but was flavorful.

Deserving of more than five stars. Have you ever been to a restaurant that you could not believe it took you so long to visit? This was that place for us. Now we are drooling when we think about going again before we leave the keys.

French Onion soup —- that’s a favorite from years gone by….homerun! Cheesy and delicious.
Ribeye Steak — come on now it has to be the best in the keys. So delicious and properly cooked.
The shrimp and lobster stuffed pasta was super flavorful oh my! The cocktails were awesome and we tried MANY!

The service all the way around. We feel we got super lucky with Spencer as our waiter. I think he had as much fun as we did!! He better have!!!

The chef/owner was personable and caring that our meal was delicious. He stopped by for a few laughs with us.

We have driven past so many times and always wonder if this odd little property circa 1970 is even open. It always makes me think of the Brady Bunch in Hawaii episodes. I read on one of the Keys FB pages that there was a fantastic new restaurant inside. We made reservations and arrived a little early but were seated right away. We were shocked at the interior of the restaurant as it is very well done. Don’t let the 70’s exterior fool you! We asked about the tiki bar out back and were told it was part of the lodge and no longer used. What a shame, this entire property could be so amazing. We were seated with a view of the water and the sunset. Our server Jessica was phenomenal and explained everything on the menu to us. We were very excited to see they had a grouper flight and started with that, and a french martini. The grouper flight was 4 pieces of red, black, yellow, and snowy grouper. Each one tasted different, it was a heavenly grouper experience. The red grouper tasted light and sweet, the black was a little more firm with a stronger taste than the red. The yellow and the snowy were delicate and buttery. I really couldn’t pick a favorite. It’s like comparing Maine Lobster to Florida Lobster, it’s all my favorite! The chef sent us little cups of potato leek soup which was so creamy and delicious. We both ordered the Crab Stuffed Grouper for our dinner. You can never have too much grouper! And wow, was it mind-blowingly awesome! My mouth is watering as I write this review. We ate every bit of it while watching the sunset, and walked away from this meal saying that was incredible. We never made it to dessert but we will definitely be back for sure!

This is a Must Stop! Food was fabulous! Highly recommend this restaurant! Our server, Kaylee, was super! We are so glad we found this restaurant. It doesn’t have the best sign on the road, hard to find. Well worth seeking out this place!
