I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at South City Kitchen. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, and every recommendation our server suggested was spot on.
Tamani truly made our evening memorable. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made choosing our dishes so much easier. Her warm personality and outstanding service really elevated the entire experience. The ambiance was beautiful and the setting was just right.

I had the shrimp and grits.It was well balanced. The grits were a great consistency. Be aware if you don’t like bacon or ham taste you may not like it. Green tomatoes 100/10.

We got together at this restaurant for a work related event. We were about 12 people, and the service was great. Our server was super attentive, and despite the largest group, didn’t feel like she skipped a beat. The cocktails were excellent as where the appetizers. I had the basil gimlet. I ordered the shrimp and grits for the main, which was really filling and really tasty. I could get through it all! The desserts were excellent as well. I especially enjoyed the banana pudding. While the restaurant was a little loud given the evening time, it was still OK to have a conversation. It was definitely really busy since I would recommend making reservations. Overall, I would highly recommend.

I visited South City Kitchen to try their famous fried chicken, which I’d heard great things. When I ordered, I was told they were out of mashed potatoes, which was a little disappointing but understandable.
After I had already ordered, a couple who sat down after me received the fried chicken with mashed potatoes. I mentioned it to my waiter, and while he was very polite, he wasn’t sure how that happened or why the potatoes were suddenly available.
The food itself was very good, and the service, friendly, attentive, and polite. I think this was likely just a communication mix-up, but it did cause some confusion. I’d still come back and hope for a smoother experience next time.

Food was solid, shrimp and grits was good not my favorite style of the dish.
We got the crab cake, southern spread, deviled eggs, and crispy chicken appetizers and all were very good. The crab cake was the best! Nice upscale casual vibe great for after work event like we did, but also nice vibe for a date night.

It was a hectic Sunday morning. Not a great experience, very long wait, forgotten food order, and more. What I will say is the manager came to the table, addressed our concerns, and made it right. Food was fresh, fried green tomatoes were delicious with goat cheese and red pepper coulis, and the collard greens were tender and tasty. She crab soup and eggs and hash. Its a happening place, so its a good vibe, just a little hectic.

I’ve been a repeat customer to this establishment and they never disappoint. I took my grandmother here for brunch and it was absolutely enjoyable. She loved it. I’ve ordered the egg, white frittata and fried green tomatoes.
They always have the best fried green tomatoes in town, which is the main reason I keep coming back. It is cooked with such perfection with a goat cheese and the right amount of pepper sauce. I definitely recommend for anybody who wants a quiet, calm dining.
