⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **The Best Southern Comfort in Atlanta!** ️✨

I have been a loyalist at Roc South for years. Usually, I am a creature of habit—it is the fried snapper sandwich or just fish and two sides every single time because I love it so much. But this past Thursday, I was feeling adventurous.

My husband ordered the 4 chicken wings, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. One look at his plate and I immediately changed my order and said, “I will have the same thing!” Everybody looked at me and said, “Are you sure?” I said, “Yeah, I am sure.” When I tell you my food was so good! It was a very large portion for me, I could only eat 2 of the wings and I took the other 2 home and had them for lunch the next day along with the rest of my sides. It was so good, y’all!

The macaroni and cheese tastes like somebody in my family made it. Salute to the family in the kitchen! The service is also great. I had to pull up a picture of my drink from the last time because I could not remember the name, and it was so good. They have two types of drinks, lemonades and margaritas, and I had a D’Ussé Margarita. It is so cute and it has fresh blueberries floating in it. I only got it because I love blueberries so much. It is not a puree, it is actual blueberries, though you can ask for puree if you want.

This is a true family restaurant. While we were there, an older man with multiple generations of his family was celebrating his birthday. It was so nice to see. If you have not been here yet, you are missing out! ✨

We visited a day before Valentine’s. They were serving a set menu. The bread and fries green tomatoes was nothing special. The crab cake was good. The martini was good. The pork chop and chicken were great and the side dishes were average. Dessert was okay but unremarkable. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was fantastic. Our server, Coco was the most memorable aspect of our experience.

If you are looking for a great brunch spot in Buckhead, you must check out the South City Kitchen. The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was top-notch. Ask to be put into Asia’s section, if she’s available- she is so kind, professional. and knowledgeable about the menu. “Must haves” are the fried green tomatoes and the King Biscuit. Oh, and you have to try the homemade apple butter.

I recently stopped by for dinner and grabbed a seat at the bar, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. The atmosphere here is fantastic—it balances that upscale Buckhead vibe with a genuine, welcoming Southern warmth. It’s polished but still feels relaxed.
The service was impeccable, but the real star was the food. I started with an Old Fashioned which was perfectly mixed, and ordered the pork chop for my main. It was incredible—easily one of the best I’ve had. It had a perfect smoky grilled flavor and the sides (brussels sprouts and butternut squash) complemented it perfectly with that apple rosemary jus.
If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for great modern Southern food with a view, this is the spot. Highly recommend sitting at the bar!

Eli was our server tonight and how he went above and beyond to take my care of my allergies (gluten and dairy free) was amazing. He talked through my options and made sure my food came out separate from everyone else. Also checked the plate to make sure it was prepared correctly. He was attentive, caring and has the best personality. My co-worker wasn’t sure what to order and he described each plate with how it’s prepared and flavor profile. It turned a normal restaurant experience into an incredible one. The food was great but I will come back for the service!

Not my first time at South City, but my first visit to the Buckhead location. The service was excellent; everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was great too. I had the famous fried chicken and it didn’t disappoint crispy, juicy and full of flavor. The sides were good as well. Overall it was a great experience.

Let me say I looovveee this location! Service and food is always awesome! I ordered the Fried Chicken, mash potatoes and collard greens . My bartender was Jordan and he made my experience even better. I didn’t know what drink I wanted but Jordan was able to exceed my expectations. Most definitely will continue to come back.

Update: 20260108 | This is my third or fourth time at the Buckhead location with a group, and South City Kitchen continues to deliver every time. Everything was great from start to finish. The drinks were on point, the atmosphere and music were exactly what you want for a relaxed upscale vibe, and the service was solid – thanks Kevin!

The cornbread muffins, sweet tea and “Perfect Burger” were I dare say PERFECT, as always, and honestly a big part of why I keep coming back. Consistently good food, great ambiance, and a spot I’ll continue to revisit.

I used the parking lot today, usually take MARTA, and the access through the lobby of the adjoining hotel was great! Will def be back!

I was visiting from out of town. Nice vibe. Great drinks. The food was horrible. Mashed potatoes were runny and tasted like pure margarine. Undercooked chicken. Sitting at the bar, I let the bartender know my food was undercooked. She tried to say it was the bone. No ma’am, this meat had blood running through it. Very disappointing for an ATL soul food restaurant.

The food here was delicious, and what really stood out to us was the atmosphere. The wait time was reasonable, and since we weren’t in a rush and went on a weekend, it worked out nicely. We also enjoyed spending some time in the lounge before sitting at the bar.

The bar itself was impressive and offered good service. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back
