South Ahan, Wonderful food, the chicken wings were terrific surprise (great flavors, crispy crunch but tender wings). Pho broth nice and rich. I do miss a Pho meat combo with lean steak, tripe and meatballs. We felt the fresh shrimp roll could have been a little better and they did not cut one roll in half.
The only downside side is the service was slammed with a full house and lots of takeouts so we had to wipe down our own table and the table next to us wasn’t cleared for sometime. The food came within 15 minutes and was piping hot.
The atmosphere and setting was nicely done. The restaurant has limited seating but they maximize their space nicely.

Finally got there for the first time yesterday, and we tried the phö, sticky chicken, and pad Thai. It hit the spot. It was served fast and hot and cheerfully. Portions were fantastic. Flavors were great. We all enjoyed what we had and the leftovers the next day.
My only complaint is plastic forks.

2LEGIT!! I can’t believe I waited so long to try South Ahan. Incredible. In Columbia?!!
The decor and ambiance is great, very clean and mod, though it is small. The staff were clean cut, well dressed, and friendly.
The beef pho was on par with the best I’ve had from Nashville joints like Hoang Tofu or VN Pho. Huge portion. The beef itself was particularly delicious.
Chicken egg rolls were piping hot and delicious.
Food came out fast and was gingerly delivered to our table by friendly staff.
I even loved the 80s pop music playlist.
Can’t wait to go back.
I will say the men’s bathroom needs a serious overhaul (and not because I just used it. )

I can’t believe this place isn’t viral. Hands down, the BEST thai food I’ve ever had. It has given me a love for Thai food that I didn’t know I was missing. The drunken noodles, the next level ramen, the crab puffs, AMAZING!!!

We were in Columbia today and a friend recommended this spot! So thankful they did! The atmosphere is a vibe. Well decorated and thought out. The food was probably the most authentic and delicious Lao food I’ve had since moving to the Nashville area! We had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend! We will be back, for sure.

Great place! I really love their food and have always enjoyed coming here. However, the last few times I’ve visited, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the protein portions—less chicken, less shrimp. It’s disappointing because this has always been one of my favorite spots. Hoping they can bring back the generous portions that made me love this place!

Best place in Columbia! My husband and I have ate over half the menu here. It’s our favorite local spot: the crab puffs are delicious! My personal favorite is their next level ramen, the pad Thai is a close second (mild for me, medium for my spice loving husband). His favorite would be the curry! Legit everything on this menu is delicious and worth trying! They also have specials not listed online, you’re truly missing out if you haven’t tried this place!

Had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner here and both times were great. Me and my husband found this gem and have been going back since. First we love how clean and friendly this place is. You walk in order your meal and find a seat. We have tried the pho, shrimp fried rice, drunken noodles, next level noodles, spring roll, fried crab puff, beef bone broth, and the Loa wings. Everything we have had so far has been spectacular. The pho was warm and comforting with a huge portion you will probably have some to take home. My husband is hooked on the drunken noodles. The wings were delicious with the star being the chilli sauce they serve with it. The shrimp fried rice was also amazing with a huge portion. The spring rolls were very fresh and the crab puffs are also very tasty. Seriously it doesn’t matter what you choose you will not be disappointed. The chef has a passion for cooking and it certainly shows with the dishes and the presentation. By far this is a hidden gem and much needed options in a place full of Mexican food. Do yourself a favor and check them out you will not be disappointed!

Came in for dinner with family. Glad they recommended this place. The Sticky Chick and rice was awesome. The sauce is the boss. Sweet and spicy. The Crab Puffs are some of the best around. If you’re in the area, you have to stop in and try.
