New business in the location the old Bald Butcher. Recently opened and still getting organized somewhat. The bbq plate I got had a generous enough portion of meat to make two sandwiches. Potato salad and beans were good. Wished I’d tried the pizza. Maybe next time.

Waited 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order. We chose the seafood buffet. No shrimp for the first hour we were there. No biscuits ever the whole time. Catfish was good. Shrimp was good once it was on the buffet table. Lima beans were dry and nasty. Never saw white beans just an empty container. When I made my salad it was the dregs left at the bottom of the containers. I really wouldn’t call it a seafood buffet as the only seafood was fried shrimp and I think crabcakes?? Didn’t try the macaroni and cheese or the pasta. Won’t be in a rush to go back. Pizza looked good we probably should have tried that.

Came by for lunch, surprised the pizza was not on the menu. Was shocked when told they did not have any fries. I don’t understand why they could have not gotten fries or potatoes from a grocery store. Chose the Mac & cheese for my substitute item, was shells & cheese. No where near mac & cheese. My chicken sandwich was ok, on a dry hot dog bun. I’ll have to pass next time.

We went for our first of many visits to come. A truly nice, family friendly atmosphere, polite and attentive staff and fresh buffet. Even though it was busy, service staff moved things right along nicely. A great addition to Covington and Tipton County.
