Extremely disappointing experience!
Me and my wife, along with our kids, came to Sourdough Sonoma really excited and hungry to finally try their sourdough. But sadly, it turned into a huge letdown. There were only two guys working, and even with just a few customers, they took way too long to prepare orders. We waited and waited until our kids got restless, and finally, we had to leave hungry and disappointed.
If you can’t handle customers properly, maybe hire more people or be honest about the wait time. This visit definitely ruined our family’s mood — not coming back again.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time!
I stopped by Sourdough today, and honestly, it completely blew me away. I ordered a sandwich (on their fresh sourdough bread, of course), and every bite was perfection — warm, soft on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside, with that perfect tangy sourdough flavor that’s hard to find anywhere else. The ingredients tasted super fresh, the balance of flavors was on point, and it didn’t feel greasy or heavy — just satisfying in the best way.
The service was incredibly fast — my order was ready in under five minutes, which was impressive given how good the quality was. The staff was friendly, efficient, and seemed to really care about making sure everyone had a good experience. The vibe inside was clean, cozy, and smelled amazing — that freshly baked bread aroma just hits different.
Overall, this place deserves all the love it can get. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on your lunch break or just craving something hearty and real, Sourdough delivers. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

Very clean and nice sandwich shop, friendly staff. I ordered a 4″ turkey on sourdough with lettuce, tomato, Dijon, Monterey jack and the store’s mayo-based signature sauce. It was toasted. I had a combo with a bag of chips and a fountain drink. $13.94 before tax and tip.
The sourdough bread and sandwich overall was delicious. If you’re not a sourdough person, you can get wheat, marble rye, lettuce wrap and gluten free wraps. You can also buy loaves of sourdough.
While not the “cheapest” sandwich around, the quality of the ingredients were very good.
I was impressed and I’ll be going back very soon.

Only two employees running the whole place, and clearly not enough to handle customers!
What made things even worse was the rude and ego-filled manager who acted like he was doing us a favor instead of helping. His behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and full of attitude. A manager should lead with respect — not arrogance.
❌ No apology, no responsibility — just ego.
⏳ Slow service + rude management = bad experience.
Honestly, this place needs serious management changes if they want to keep customers. I left disappointed, hungry, and with no plans to ever return.

I checked out the new sandwich shop at The Marketplace Shopping Center in Sonoma. It reminds me a lot of Boudin in San Francisco. Nicely put together, clean, friendly atmosphere and the sandwiches are pretty good. I had the beef brisket with potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie. Very satisfying. This place is a nicer alternative to places like Subway. I’d like to go back and try one of their salads.

Average sandwiches. Nothing noteworthy. 3 of us had sandwiches & drinks for $60 with tip. Im sure the rent in that location is very high, but I think the prices are the biggest downside to this place. It won’t attract the student lunchtime crowd or workers on lunch break. If a restaurant doesn’t cater to the locals here, it doesn’t last long. $20 for a 6″ sandwich & small fountain drink misses the mark. While it was good enough, nothing wrong with the place, I don’t see any reason Id go back. On the positive, its very clean, nicely renovated inside & employees were very competent, fast & friendly.
