Quantity has a quality of it’s own. The omakase is ok, pretty standard selections, pieces not the best I’ve had but still tasty. After accompanying sake, continued with unlimited orders of akami, chutoro & waygu.

After the omakase, has about 60 pieces could have done maybe two dozen more, but didn’t want to hate myself in later. Heard the current record is over 200 by a tiny Asian women of course . Friendly cheerful atmoaphere, good experience.

Amazing omakase and Ayce finisher experience. Everything was fresh and amazing. Staff was super attentive on refills. We had to wait a bit for the omakase to start since not everyone from the previous meal left yet. They have multiple chefs to serve different groups across the restaurant. The omakase is 14 pieces and the Ayce is 3 different types. I definitely think I could have done more of the Ayce portion. The miso soup was delicious, the passion fruit mocha was great to finish off the meal. The chef was super cool. At the end he let one of my friends dual wield the torches to sear the Wagyu. Sick experience overall.

It was great with unlimited sushi options! We had such a fun time chatting with the chef and he was super friendly, and all the staff were really nice too. The scallop sushi was especially good. I ended up getting 11 extra pieces and it was the perfect amount. The all you can eat extras were a bit smaller than regular size but still tasty. One thing is the the place was too small and the seatings were too tight to each other which was not that comfortable but other than that, the experience was good.

Nice place to have good food with company. This was our fourth or fifth visit overall and the second time at this particular location.
This time, the chef assigned to us was a young guy who seemed completely uninterested in interacting. He avoided conversation even when we tried to engage. Meanwhile, we could clearly see other guests being entertained and having a much better experience. We were simply ignored.
Service was also poor. When we wanted another beer, we tried for at least five minutes to get the attention of a waiter. She was clearly busy but also literally ignored us. In the end, I had to ask the chef, who looked confused and unsure what to do.
The quality of the food has gone down. The fish is still fresh and tastes good, but the amount of rice in the sushi is excessive and clearly designed to limit how much you can eat. I understand the “unlimited” concept and that costs need to be controlled, but this Wagyu steak sushi was just ridiculous. Way too much rice, barely any meat.
We didn’t eat much because we weren’t hungry. I personally had only 8 extra pieces of sushi and was not planning to eat piles of rice. Still, we were told we’d be charged $10 for every three pieces of unfinished rice. Fine, that’s the policy – but it feels absurd considering we’ve probably spent several thousand dollars across this and the other location over time.
After the meal, the chef just walked away without saying thank you or goodbye. We had to flag down someone else just to get the bill.
Extremely disappointing experience. SourAji in the East Village was not bad at all, but I strongly suggest avoiding the SourAji West location. We won’t be coming back.

This is a bang for your buck! The sushi was great and I loved the all you can eat options at the ends (fatty tuna, lean tuna, and wagyu). The drinks are unlimited as well with 4 sakes to choose from. This place was deff a more relaxed vibe versus other omakase places where it’s very structured and quiet. I paid under $130 total everything with tip included! I’d come back.

Service (5/5): We were asked to wait outside until out 7pm reservation while they set up the restaurant and then we were seated in waves. The staff seated us and proceeded to provide the menus/beverages fairly quickly. Service was stellar every moment throughout the experience. I felt like our cups were always full. We were able to switch up the sake of our choice throughout the meal. There was customization opportunities presented by the chef at the onset of the experience (dietary restrictions or preferences). The chef even humored us and tailored the special end bites to our diners requests!! Just wow!
Ambiance (5/5): Super well-lit and low volumes. A long table onlooking 3 chefs with a few seats that faced the window.
Food (5/5): Every single piece of sushi was delicious. Nothing needed to be changed. The rice was perfectly cooked, wonderfully portioned. The meal came with a half piece of mochi ice cream. During the AYCE sushi part, it was split into 3 waves to order: lean tuna, fatty tuna, and wagyu. For $98, the unlimited sake and the AYCE sushi was well-worth the high quality sushi and exceptional service provided.

Reservation is probably the way to go.
Food is fresh, people are super kind especially if you do multiple visits.
All you can drink sweet and dry sake plus beers is amazing.
Bathroom is 1 person at a time.
The 3 course at the end is amazing. You decide how many pieces you want of each 1, before the course is made and served.
Fantastic experience, would highly highly recommend!

My friends and I opted for the all-you-can-eat omakase with unlimited sake, which came out to about $128 per person, including tip. The wagyu beef was absolutely incredible, and most of the sushi was delicious. However, I wasn’t a fan of the raw shrimp. This place is perfect for adventurous eaters who are open to trying a variety of flavors, as you eat whatever the chef prepares for you. The seating is around a bar, creating a more interactive dining experience. Overall, it’s a great spot for those looking to explore unique and high-quality sushi.
