I intentionally arrived pre-lunch so I could snap photos of this delightful place before customers started filling the dining area. It was packed when I left. I was greeted enthusiastically as I walked in and felt instantly welcome. The atmosphere was lovely, warm, cozy, clean, & inviting with fresh flowers on each table. It made me want to find a seat, pull out a book, & stay a while.
I ordered the “Flight” choosing Hungarian Mushroom, Tomato Basil, & Butternut Squash for my 3 soups. Each bowl was 4 oz. & was served with several slices of yummy, crusty bread with pats of butter. Every soup was amazing! I couldn’t decide which I liked best. I noticed lunches being served to the other customers as I was eating my lunch & every dish looked so delicious. I will absolutely eat here next time I’m in Santa Fe!

This is an incredible gem of a restaurant. The service is super friendly and fast. The menu is an extensive mix of comfort soups and sandwiches. This was my third time here and every different thing I’ve ordered has delivered. The prices are decent and the portions are filling plenty parking out front.

Nice little place. A bit out of the way but worth it. Quality soups and sandwiches. The owner/manager clearly cares very much about the food and customer impressions. She knew exactly how much was left of each item late in the day and made sure we were served with care, even near closing. Take out or eat in the quaint dining area with thoughtful seasonal touches. The Hungarian mushroom soup was a highlight. They have SOUP FLIGHTS if you can’t decide on one. Pick up soup for an easy healthy dinner or for entertaining.

Hearty, delicious and fresh soup. It’s such a treat on cold days but their fries were fantastic too. We tried 2 soup flights and loved everything. Must try in Santa Fe! The service was fantastic, they went above and beyond to ensure comfort.

This is a small restaurant, limited seating but worth the trip. I have had several good lunches here and will return to explore the various soups, sandwiches and salads. Can’t go wrong with Hungarian mushroom.

This is a well hidden secret. It’s owned locally and has good food at decent prices. There are 8 soups you can choose from, wraps, sandwiches and salads. Definitely eat here. They have takeout also.

Soup Star seem like the right name. The combination of corn and Chile soup with a tuna melt sandwich was way behind our expectation. The dining room with 8 tables felt very intimate. The dB of just below 70 allowed conversation to easily happen. The hostess was attentive and friendly. We will add Soup Star to our list of restaurants to return frequently.

Our group of 5 stopped at Soup Star for lunch based on excellent Google and Yelp reviews. What a gem!! In a stretch of Santa Fe that is mostly chains, Soup Star stands out for the food and the service. The dining area is cozy, the service is friendly and generous, and the food was all delicious. I loved my trio of soups, and the sandwiches at the table were also huge hits. Don’t miss Soup Star!!

Oh my this place is wonderful! Food is fabulous. Tiny space but seemed to have a table for everyone. We had a flight of 3 soups each. Absolutely delicious each one. Then we each had a sandwich. My veggie sandwich was best ever. I want to come back before we leave. This is a gem! Don’t miss this charming lunch place.
