Great little restaurant with fresh food. Rotating soup choices. They’re beer bread is awesome. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Thought it was going to be a lot smaller restaurant and they had plenty of tables for multiple sized groups. Staff is willing to assist on choices and give samples of soup to make sure you get the one that you will like. They have done a great job on the decor and seating options. Very cozy and inviting. This was the first time my wife and I have eaten here but will definitely be back soon.

We tried Soulful Soups for the first time today. The food, service, price, and ambience were all great. We each had the flight of Soup so we actually got to try 6 different soups. They were all great and the salad and beer bread were great too. Plenty of beer and wine options. My only recommendation would be to change the music. Country music doesn’t seem to match the restaurant’s vibe. Definitely give this place a try!

One of the best places in town for soups — especially now with the cooler fall weather! My absolute favorites are the Chicken Artichoke and the Beer Cheese Soup, both rich, hearty, and full of flavor. And don’t even get me started on their beer bread — it’s absolutely phenomenal! The new location on Madison is so spacious and adorable — the perfect spot to warm up and relax. ✨

I was skeptical when I saw that the old location was no longer operating and was concerned but knowing that the new owner has taken such pride in reinventing soulful soups has been a breath of fresh air. Although the location can be a little tricky to get to considering downtown I would say it is very much worth coming here because of the friendly staff, the wonderful food and the beautiful decor inside. With delicious Hardy food I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the menu was to navigate and asking questions. I would definitely consider coming back here again.

The spicy Mac n cheese is made only on Fridays. It’s worth the wait. I buy it in quarts. Best tomato basil soup in town. Paired amazingly with the beer bread!

Really, really glad the Soulful Soups tradition is being carried on, with new management and location. It’s as great as ever, right down to the amazing Beer Bread. They always have great rotational offerings—honestly, something for everyone. One of the few places in our metro that can be referred to as uniquely ‘Spokane.’ Long may they simmer and stew…

The tomato basil soup was wonderful. Love how they have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian menu items. I appreciated that my to go order was packaged nicely so it made it home without any issues. The soup and bread were still warm and ready to eat.

I really liked the old location, but the new location has an even better vibe. I had the cream of spinach and mushroom soup and it was perfect. It is more spacious and the furniture is more comfy.
Here’s an owner who’s doing everything right. Service is friendly and lightning fast.
Great value for the money!

I work close by and eat here often for lunch. The place is clean and classy inside, the staff are great, and the soup is unbelievably delicious. I have tried many and they are all so yummy. I often get extra to take home to eat later. I love supporting a local business and feel so fortunate to have Soulful Soups in Spokane. Please visit them, you will be glad you did!

Visited Soulful Soups with my partner while we were in town for the weekend, and wow!! What an amazing experience. The ambience was warm, inviting, and truly lived up to the soulful name. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. Aaron, the owner, took the time to chat with us and you can tell how much love and passion he puts into the place. It made the experience even more special.

The food was delicious, comforting, and full of flavor—exactly what we needed. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a cozy, heartfelt meal with great vibes. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
