Their Seafood Platter No.2 (with Fried catfish, shrimp, no filler crabcake, mac n cheese, & collard greens $33).

The Catfish…LIKE THAT!! Huge, a cornmeal fish fry, & tasty!!

Their Mushroom Swiss Half Pound Burger (with sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, TRULY a half pound of ground beef, & hand cut fries $12). STAMP!! This burger was HUGE, delicious, well seasoned just everything I need a burger to be!! The hand cut made to order salt & peppered fries were everything too!!

Love this place! One of the few restaurants you can go to anymore that isn’t a chain restaurant. Ms Kim is always authentically herself, take it or leave it, and I love it. This is my favorite breakfast spot for my kids and I, and the lunch and dinner is equally good. Give them a try, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I didn’t like any of the food my husband bought me. The was soggy, greens not cooked and the potato salad tasted like vinegar. My husband smothered chicken looks awful it didn’t look like smothered chicken. But baked chicken with barbecue sauce. This was first time supporting this restaurant.

Tried this spot I’d heard about. Drove right by tge first time as signage was a bit tiny. Inside, the decor is average with a carry out feel, but cizy & comfortable. Service was perfect, super friendly and engaged with us crzckin jokes and all, even the cook in the back. Omg, the food was good ole mama & grandma style. I ordered a cheeseburger, a jumbo fresh hand made beef patty cooked til edges crispy and the center juicy inside. Even the bread was too small for this mammoth burger spillin off the plate with all the fixins — and indeed it was good. Warning: requires both hands to eat and loose fitted clothing to allow complete comfort. Also, double up on the napkins (just saying that juice can get to runnin down to your elbows ). Fries are real homemade sliced & seasoned. I was a happy camper .
Now for the Cons, as I gotta keep it real – they were out of several items like they had no smothered anything (ie. chix, pork chops, turkey, rice, etc and had not one dessert seriously ). Also, we were charged higher prices than reflected on their menu … told a new menu was coming out … uh o-k-a-y this time . Overall, I’ll return cuz I enjoyed my first visit, food and the service. Thank you

Part 1: This place is beyond question one of THE BEST restaurants I have ever been too! We came in before closing and they went above and beyond to serve us!! We are from out of state and really wanted to try the Mac and cheese. When they found out we were from out of town they made us Mac and cheese just for us. We ENJOYED (unlike others on here) waiting for the food and talking to employees and family members. They made us feel like home and embraced us. We had a ton of fun here
Part 2: The food was unearthly!!! This was the best food I may have ever had at a restaurant. The fried chicken was perfect amount of breading and seasoning, not overly greasy. The Mac and cheese was creamy, had lots of cheese, and perfect salt ratio. The candied yams must have come from heaven!! Holy cow they were good. I wish had words for them.
Thank you guys for the food, friendship, and going way above and beyond to take care of us!
Update: Came back 2 more times and really grew to love these good people. Take time to look people in the eyes and see their souls. That is what they taught me!

My wife and I found this restaurant through google and didn’t realize it was not too far from our home. I got the seafood platter #1 and she had the whiting and both meals came with two sides. The sides were mixed greens and Mac & cheese. Everything was great and seasoned perfectly and flavorful. The lemon pound cake was fluffy and just perfect IMO. Kristen was great and I don’t know the other young lady’s name but she was also great. The atmosphere was nice and peaceful as well. This is definitely going to be one of my go to spots. If you’re looking for a nice restaurant that welcomes good vibes only then this is it.

It was our first time there. Went on a whim while getting my car serviced. The food was delicious and abundant. You get a lot for the price. I got catfish and grits with eggs and my husband got whiting and grits with eggs a d potatoes. BTW, potatoes were bomb! I loved the family feel of the business. Loved the pink and gray decor. Felt nostalgic and personal. Will come again for sure.

My parents told me about this restaurant then I said okay let try it out! Let me tell yall! I ate in with my family and the food was amazing! The owner is very personable and sweet. I got a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich it’s was so good it reminded me of my grandma cooking! The kids got pancakes they love it! She gives you your money worth! I left out full and ready for my 12 o’clock nap! Don’t walk but run right over there! ihop count your days because you will never see me again!
