MamaG was very personable. My big back wrap was great. I only post half because I wanted to eat it before I took a pic Big enough portions for a second meal. I will visit again and tell others. Limited hours so check FB page first for times and menu of the day

I have to first say that I’m sorry I haven’t found this place until now. Just happen to look up new places and found this one, and decided to try it out. A win for anyone who wants hot, fresh and delicious soul food goodness that is served by amazing people. From the first step in, to the last step out, it is known that customer service is valuable. This is the kind of customer service that feels like family. Real love, real people, and really good food! I will be back for sure many many times. Mama G’s has got great food. She changes up the menu so you get different options each time you visit. Oh plus her lemonade is the best this county has (my opinion). Her atmosphere is quiet but she’s super friendly. This is a all around GREAT place to eat with an amazing owner/cook/cashier so you must try if you’re looking for great but different soul food.

This was my third time eating at Soul on Lowell. The food is always delicious including the oxtails, Mac and cheese, catfish, rice and gravy, you really can’t go wrong. 5 stars all the way.

We met Mama G. and were not only hugged by her but by her food. Every bite was comfort with so much flavor. She doesn’t skimp on the portions either. We had the crab cakes (not imitation or canned) and the catfish sided with Mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything was delicious! From walking in, to walking out, Mama G and her staff take care of you.

Mama G was so welcoming from the moment we arrived until we left. She even offered us samples of the sides, which I couldn’t resist. I tried the Mac and cheese, and it was absolutely delicious—it melted in my mouth! I ordered the catfish with collard greens and Mac and cheese sides. The food was fantastic! You can really tell Mama G has been cooking for a long time. I’m visiting my sister from the west coast, and this is exactly what I needed today!

If you are looking for authentic soul food with amazing customer service, look no further! My husband was driving around looking for lunch and stumbled on this gem. He was greeted by the owner and had such a great conversation that he knew the food was going to be delicious, well he was not wrong. We had the fish, crabcake, cabbage, and macaroni. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! I have recommended this restaurant to anyone he ask and all family and friends. I look forward to returning and pray we get to enjoy some meals here for a very long time!
