Atmosphere: Indoor and Outdoor seating options
Indoor: space is a little bit tight. So if you show up with a large group, you may get turned off. Outdoor seating is limited for summer months. You can see what it looks like in the pics.
Service: Good overall. The staff was polite and kept checking on food quality and looking for feedbacks. Were also very receptive about the negative feedbacks if any.
Food Ordered: I am a vegetarian so I ordered Paneer tikka kabab sizzler (full size), Malai Kofta, Makhmali Paneer, Garlic Naan, Butter Roti and Rice.
Sizzler was ok. I would tone down on the food color a little but though and add more veggies in the paneer kabab. I also encourage them to add a veg sizzler to their menu. It is really a winning dish.
Malai Kofta was top notch and hands down the best Malai Kofta in the whole of New England.
Makhmali Paneer was a green gravy based paneer. I had high hopes for it but it was a little salty. I told the staff about this.
Portions were huge and even complimentary rice size was big. I saw a review complaining about it but this is the size I received for two dishes which was enough for us.
Overall we left happy with the food quality, quantity, service and atmosphere.
I walked in on July 20 th to treat myself as the experience has always been good but today the waitstaff namely the older gentlemen was unbelievably rude and should be fired on the spot.
First he tried to over charge for the buffet by telling me it was 23
Dollars instead of 20. I also asked clearly if the drinks came with refills and he said yes. After I ordered my drink he says you had 3 no more
Refills
I also had mistakenly left my phone in my car and someone follows me out saying I did not pay all
The while my wallet is on the table. This restaurant I used to enjoy frequently but bankrupt is where I envision them after the visit. Do yourself a favor by pass here and never go to this establishment. They don’t deserve your business. After this incident the old man refused to clear my table. Letting my fresh food get mixed with my dirty plates. Other reviews have stated such bad service as well. Notice the plates that
Are stacked. Also to repeat I had left my phone in my car and was not leaving without paying and these pictures show the dirtiness of your when the owners are not there as commented by other reviewers. These pictures will be forwarded to the Sudbury board of health. And to emphasize your staffs lack of attention. My wallet was on the table !!! But probably not not noticed because they never cleaned the table!!! Truly disgusting and review your facts. You will also the number of 5 star reviews as well to the deserving establishments not to the establishments that don’t take public health safely as demonstrated in the photos. Even a dog eats from a clean bowl. Look at the pictures of the table. And the comments about a customer are made with out honesty. And once again my wallet was on the table but probably not seen because of all uncleared dishes!!
Having just a few tables adds to the charm – it means your water glass is always full, plates disappear as if by magic, and you get the sense that everything is taken care of. Honestly, the name fits perfectly – this place embodies the soul of Indian cuisine. If you’re west of Boston and want an unforgettable Indian buffet experience, this small spot will make your day.
Check your credit card statement against your bill! The food is superb and is my favorite Indian restaurant having tried many in the area. The buffet is varied and excellent in quality. However for the second time my bill was altered after leaving the restaurant. They pad the bill which you will only notice if you check your credit card statement. I recommend, if you insist on patronizing this restaurant, that you pay in cash or make sure you compare your receipt to your statement. Once can be a mistake but twice is intentional.
Try their fresh lime soda mixed at the bar—it’s amazing!
