These folks have a system that works. No nonsense just keep it moving. But stay friendly doing it. However, the collards tasted like some sugar was added and only one piece of meatloaf in comparison to two smothered pork chops. Still, I would stop by there the next time I’m in town.

The women that work here are all happy go lucky very welcoming sweet people but the food is unbelievable it’s mouth-watering it’s hot it’s fresh it’s delicious. Definitely don’t pass this place up!

Ordered oxtails yesterday the food was so greasy it was like a puddle!!! Of grease! I ate a little bit then had to stop bcos my blood pressure went so high ended up having a horrible night bcos of that. Hopefully I’ll get a refund or something. Cos I’m definitely taking this back to them TODAY. I know it’s souo food but no reason to be SATURATED IN GREASE! DEFINITELY MADE ME WANNA MAKE MY OWN OXTAILS
UPDATE: I came up around 12noon to return the food and get a refund and to let them know about their food so they don’t do it to somebody else. And the man who helped me basically just offered me some more food and I didn’t want any more food but I could just feel his energy was like he was not trying to give a refund because common Sense tells you I don’t want nothing out your store anymore. I just told you I had a horrible high blood pressure Spike from eating your food no I don’t want no more food but I wasn’t going to even get into it with him so I took the food. He gave me some baked chicken, a leg, a thigh, and a wing. He didn’t even ask me what pieces I wanted cuz I really only eat the breast then he didn’t even ask what sides I wanted. He gave me collard greens again and they still look greasy and then he gave me yellow rice(free side with most plates)with gravy on it. So everything you gave me didn’t even add up to the 25 plus dollars I spent on an oxtail plate. You didn’t really help me so but I guess he attempted to do something and he was cordial. So I guess that’s why I’m going to give it two stars one star for the brand in itself because I’ve been eating here for over 10 years. I was here when this store first opened but as of now this location has went to crap and I will never be eating here ever again because the food is not good like it used to be. Everything is a hit or miss your food might be real good or it might be real bad. I will make my own food at home from now on happily. And the service was good so that’s why they got the other star but nah. I’ll probably give this plate to a homeless person. Or a dog. N don’t get me wrong the flavors are decent but it’s not even worth the health risks of eating it.

Ya’ll! Are you looking for a restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida that serves deliciously flavored food, is clean, AND has friendly service? Well, look no further! While visiting this city, this restaurant came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint! Upon entering the door, we were greeted by a friendly staff member! When I went in, I walked around to the service line and gave my request to the first server. It operated like a cafeteria line at school. The staff were patient and friendly as they listened for my request, and the amount of food served was descent! When I went in to eat the fried chicken, mac and cheese, with candied yams, a smile grew on my face! Hats off to the chef!

When I need the taste of my Nana’s cooking, I go to the Bistro!! Excellent Fried chicken, Mac N Cheese, scrumptious cakes and pies! The atmosphere reminds me of church socials where neighbors broke bread together after service!

The oxtails over rice were really good. I also enjoyed the cabbage. I was not a fan of the sweet potatoes but they were ok. I also enjoyed the cornbread. We didn’t have to wait long in line as we went during lunch time. There were plenty of desserts to choose from but I opted out this time. I liked how someone came around to check on us and provide refills.

I just want to say I really appreciate this establishment for a lot of reasons. Last year my mother left this Earth and I tried this place not long after. It has been the only place that has food that reminds me of the things my Mom used to make. I love everything I have tried, the warmness of the staff and just the general atmosphere. Thank you for being a comfort spot.

Food was awesome definitely 10/10 it was me and my husband’s first time there, the lady in the line kind of gave us attitude because we didn’t know what we wanted, the menu had a variety of everything and it was our first time so we were rushed to pick something, and she also made a remark “I’m finna go to the back cuz ppl don’t know what they want”!! The line is made cafeteria style so after we were rushed to pick something, got to the end of the line and was like dang I wanted some of that and some of this too, but Other than that the food was great and I’ll be back just off the food being A1!!
