A friend and I went for dinner. Very casually decorated, with dining and drinks. We ordered the catfish platters with Mac and cheese, fried okra and slaw. Food came out, nice and hot, within 10 minutes. It was quite nice, not something I could have regularly thought as it was all fried. We also ordered the caramel cake and lemon pie. To me the cake was too sweet, but the pie was absolutely delicious! Now for that, I’d go again ❤️

Great food. As a transplant to California and returning home, I was excited to have southern food again. Fried pickles as an appetizer. Fried catfish, hushpuppies, collared greens, fried okra, and sweet tea all fit my craving and did not disappoint. My only disappointment was not making it to dessert. They looked great.

OMG this place is all it is popular for…the whole catfish was so good and my sister had a plate full of grilled “SWIMPS”. The pickled green tomatoes were so good and the onions. The prices were good and they had my favorite MARGARITAS. It is a MUST TRY in Memphis!!!

Outstanding!! We grabbed dinner here a few weeks ago with the family and couldn’t be happier. It’s a longtime favorite of ours.
You HAVE to order the catfish bites and pickles for an appetizer. Wow!! They’re both amazing. Very crispy and tons of flavor.
I had the blackened salmon and it was exceptional. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of spices and remoulade sauce. The green beans were delicious as well.
The service was great as usual. We can’t wait to go back.

FIRST time coming here, very happy and welcoming people as soon as you come in. I do work around the area so I decided to try them out. I made a To Go order and decided to try and order a glass of wine while I waited. Jessie took care of me at the bar in the To Go area & asked for my ID as they usually do at any restaurant. That I do understand as a server that I am myself. She took it to the back for a couple minutes and came back and denied my request for a glass of wine because my ID looked “weird”. I am a 23 year old Hispanic woman born and raised in Memphis & a mother at that. This situation made me feel very offended. Not too sure how I should’ve reacted but I just brushed it off and left with my To Go order.

We ate here and had the southwest salad and the shrimp tacos. They were both delicious. The portion sizes were good, but the price was a little high for what we got. Service was outstanding and very friendly. We were visiting the area and would probably go back if we were there again.

For a nice southern restaurant I couldn’t find the flavor that should’ve accompanied each dish. The food looks good but just ended there.
The black beans were completely flavorless, the fried okra, hush puppies, and catfish all tasted of cornmeal but no salt or seasonings whatsoever. I love catfish but the filets all tasted like your typical grocery store farm raised catfish and had a lot of belly meat. The collard greens and fried pickles were pretty good.
I’m glad I gave this place a try, our waitress was excellent and the service was great but I am not a fan.

The Catfish Dip appetizer with chips is so delicious, and the Pumpkin Cake with orange frosting they served from Frost Bakery sent me straight over to Frost for more delicious sweet treats. Thank you Soul Fish for a great lunch, and dessert location.
