We are from out of town and had reservations here after a visit to the Baltimore Museum of Art. We each had a glass of wine and shared the goat cheese salad. I ordered the King Salmon and my husband the Pollo Ripieno. We both really enjoyed everything! The atmosphere is very nice, with high ceilings and low lighting making it cozy and trendy at the same time. It was not a loud restaurant, even when it filled up, which was nice. We will be returning to the area, and will be spending the night, so we plan on dining here again to try some other dishes and share a bottle of wine.

So thankful for this divine experience with my adult children and daughter-in-law. Sopra Soto was amazing beyond imagination! We met the handsome Owner upon entering and even though Open Table didn’t work as expected, they welcomed us! The AntiPasti Misto and Calmari Frita were so fresh and delicious as well as the bread and bread sticks with the Chianti Clasico. I had the Short-Rib Ravioli which was amazing! My daughter and daughter-in-law had Pappardelle Fra Diablo which was also so delicioso! My son had Pollo Ripieno, another home run! The amazing communion was completed with a subtle heavenly pistachio tiramisu. The atmosphere was so beautiful with the Christmas tree, lights, nutcrackers. Our waitress, Eliesa, was so kind and helpful with all her recommendations. We were so surprised and blessed to share such a phenomenal and memorable meal with each other when we only see each other once a year! The only thing that could have made it better was to know about the valet parking as we got honked at and almost frightened away just trying to park.

The highlight was definitely their pumpkin soup, it was delicious though we both thought the balsamic glaze was over powering. Would highly suggest less of it so people can enjoy the flavor of the soup. I also really liked the whiskey cocktail! It was delicious.

I ordered the lamb chops for my entree and was sadly disappointed with it. I asked for medium and it came out well done. The waiter took it back and the next one came out medium rare. It was overly salty and the lobster mashed potatoes were very dry.

My partner said his squid ink pasta was good.

We both really enjoyed their pistachio tiramisu.

Coming from Philly to Baltimore. I was looking for some place different to eat and I found it! The service and the food was amazing! They are running a special this month. For $65.00 you get a salad, entree and dessert. Every bite was great. I will be coming back. Highly recommended. Oh, and their bread???? Very tasty.

Very beautiful space and friendly server/host. However I wrote in my reservation that it was my best friends birthday, told the host about it and then later the server and nothing came out for her at all. When we were sat it took them ten minutes just to give us some water. We did not get any bread service. I’m really disappointed in our experience. We were also sat at a 4-top when there were open 2-tops adjacent to us. The cheesecake was so sweet and came garnished with fruit that looked less than appetizing. Hope this place can work out the kinks because dinner menu was very yummy.

Absolutely delicious food “fancy homemade food” served very well! We went during an extended Restaurant Week special (need to make advance reservations) and were blown away by the truly incredible food at a very reasonable price! The cocktails were not on the special menu but absolutely delicious start to the entire meal. Three of us shared 3 appetizers, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts. The portions were all the generous size normal price items – quite a pleasant surprise. Had to pack leftovers including two desserts uneaten as we were stuffed as there was plenty extra! One of the best Italian meals we’ve had outside of Italy! Will definitely be back

I went to Sotto Sopra during restaurant week and made a reservation for two. I arrived first, but my guest had a minor emergency on the way and wouldn’t be there for an hour and a half. They were pretty busy(7pm on a Friday during restaurant week) so I wasn’t hopeful when I asked if I could push my reservation. However they were able to accommodate us even with multiple options It made my whole week since I’d been looking forward to eating here.

The food and service were 10/10. 20/10. My guest and I have specific dietary restrictions and very different tastes, so this dinner was a bit of an experiment. But, we both enjoyed everything. The ribeye, the seafood risotto, the potato and leek soup, and the goat cheese beet salad was AMAZING. Our server Juan also answered the many questions we had about the menu to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The pistachio creme brûlée was also amazing and the cappuccinos to end the meal did not disappoint. The atmosphere was also great. Dim enough to set the vibe but not too dark to see your food and the decor. Perfection.

My first time at Sotto Sopra was great. Decided to do a solo date and visit during Baltimore Restaurant Week after looking over the menu & seeing the selection.

Overall the experience as 10/10 from service, to food, to ambiance. I sat at the bar and was waited on within the first 5 mins of me arriving. I ordered a mango margarita, calamari as an appetizer, seafood risotto as an entree, and for dessert mascarpone cheesecake. Everything was so good! Presentation was nice & food was well seasoned and taste fresh.

I highly recommend the calamari and the seafood risotto!

I will definitely be back.

This place was AMAZING! Service was elevated, vibes were off the charts, and the food – I haven’t had a meal that good in a long time. The stuffed figs, streak frites, and seafood risotto were the stars of the show for me.
