It’s a small, dark restaurant on the main drag on Avenue N. There’s limited street parking. The workers were very nice and happy to explain the menu and listened to allergy concerns. The service was a little slow considering that the restaurant was empty, but the food was freshly prepared and delicious. The specials offer the best value.

The food was incredibly mediocre. I’ve never really had sushi that mid before, that REQUIRED sauce. The sesame shrimp was bland and on a bed of wilted lettuce with unseasoned broccoli. My friend and I dined in and pre ordered a meal to go and they forgot half the order. We were leaving about 15 minutes to close and the waitress was rushing us out and kept asking us what we were waiting for even though we told her we were just waiting for our Ubers because it was raining outside. I’m sure there’s better food in the area. Skip this place, I see why they were empty inside.

Was a pretty good lunch with friendly service and pretty fresh food. Just the food itself was not all that. Miso soup was kinds missing the flavor. The rolls had a bit different taste then other place and were felt like they were missing something as well.

The guy who makes sushi at the front doesn’t wear mask when he is making the food, sashimi are not that fresh, and u can taste it like it’s been there for long time, and the part of the meat they gave me I couldn’t bite down at all!! This is the only one sushi store in my neighborhood and didn’t have good experiences at all, Wong spend money there any more

Disappointed by the quality of the food. I have been to Asia and know sushi and am familiar with Japanese food. This is sub-par at best. It’s not authentic by no means. Nice people, but they should probably revamp their whole business model.

My husband and I order from Sosaku pretty frequently (enough that the lady answering the phone recognizes our voices). The sushi is always fresh, the vegetable gyoza is some of the best we have ever had and I appreciate them always accommodating my request for only mushrooms in the spicy miso soup 🙂
They are always super friendly, super quick and always on point. Never had a single issue with my order. I will continue ordering here and suggest everyone else does the same.
P.S The lady answering the phone (im ashamed i never asked for her name) is amazing. She is friendly and efficient and I want to specifically point out what an asset she is.

In one word: UNSANITARY! Nasty smelly place. Looks abandoned; you’ll lose your appetite just by walking in. It’s almost like a retro/ throwback sushi place but the place never evolved. In fact, it’s just the opposite- it’s gone to the dogs. The sushi chef was sneezing & coughing whilst making the sushi. He used filthy and toxic gloves and wiped the board down with some nasty, smelly rag. Are you kidding? If you want to get sick then this is your spot.

Food is tasty. I spent over $18 on myself. Everything came as advertised. Vanilla bubble tea is amazing and worth the price. Customer service is okay. I like that they grilled the salmon for the sushi, even though I expected it raw.

My office placed a big order. I have ordered dinner from them a few times in the past. We used uber eats. It came very quickly. After seeing and tasting the food I know why it was so quick. The rice was rubbery the chicken tasted like wood. The sushi tasted so old that it was not fit to eat. Our order was over $100. Needless to say 5 mins after the arrival of the food, I’m still hungry. We trashed 85% of the food. 10 adults shared 15% of the food. That was all that was edible. Or should I say the salads were edible but even they had brown lettuce. I’m so disappointed because $20 for a lunch to be fed to the garbage. ☹
