I had a great experience for Lunch today. It was a late lunch, they were not very busy. The food was excellent. I had the crab meat Rangoon in a roll form and shrimp fried rice. Large portions and they had an excellent taste.

Very good! Got take out. Everything was fresh and delicious. The bulgogi was very tender beef and my wife liked her sushi! I would have posted more pictures but we ate everything else!

I was out on my Sunday ride a couple of weeks ago and found myself in Madisonville, KY. I love finding great little restaurants and sushi is my go to. I googled and found Soru Sushi & Teriyaki.
You have to look closely as the sign is a small and the restaurant is on Center St midtown.
I’ve had sushi all over the US, Europe and Japan. I’m impressed with Soru’s everything so much so that I’ve returned on another Sunday ride a couple of later. I like their Bibimbaap and I had a Dragon roll first visit and am having a spider roll this visit.
May I suggest giving Soru’s a try yourself. You won’t be disappointed!
And if you’re traveling and looking for something much better than chain and /or fast food. Do yourself a favor and take the time to come downtown.

I ordered the Tuna Lovers. It is a bland pink medley of raw, frozen tuna and stands in a puddle of water… gross. It was hard to eat with a fork, much less chop sticks. 4 people had other stuff and $122.52 later, I was not pleased. If you’re going to charge like a real Sushi place, you might make it fresh. Put a door up in front of the bathrooms so people don’t have to look at the bathrooms while eating. Also, if you’re going to use wood designed tape to decorate your bar, at least finish it.

I’ll start by saying I’ve had my fair share of sushi. We just moved to Kentucky and have been looking for a good sushi restaurant. We found our place. It was wonderful! Server was very kind and polite. Food came out quickly and it was delicious. We ordered 5 rolls of sushi and fried rice. Rice had a pepper undertone and it worked nicely, my kids loved it. I highly recommend Soru if you are in Madisonville, whether passing through or happen to live here.
