I have order from Sorrento’s in Harvard several times in the past and have loved it prior, to my last visit this past wknd. I called ahead to order a pizza so it would be ready when we got there ( I had two kids with me). After placing my order over the phone, I explained I would be dining in.
When I go there, I went to go pay for my pizza which was in a take-out box? They took out my pizza, and put it on a pizza pan behind the counter. Before paying, he (the owner?) asked that I sit next to the people in line behind me “because it makes it easier for us”. I have no idea what he was talking about. I explained I didn’t understand, and he repeated it again. I looked at the women behind me and she didn’t understand his request either. I paid for my pizza and took a seat in a booth. Two seconds later he said “cheese pizza ready” and they left it on the ledge of the counter. I walked over and asked if it was safe to pick up since it was on a pizza pan and I didn’t know if it was hot. He said “yes, we prefer you take it over”. After serving my kids and sitting down he came over and said “please don’t call ahead to dine in, we lose money that way”. Again, very confused? My pizza was cold, and the customer service was terrible! I will never order a pizza here again. Needless to say, it is not me calling ahead that’s the problem. It’s the quality of pizza and extremely rude customer service.

Edit to add: Real Professional response to lifetime customers NO WONDER NO ONE WANTS TO WORK FOR YOU. Youre in here replying to people crying about it. At what point do you ask yourself “am i the problem?” Id be miserable too if my life revolved around running a dirty outdated pizza shop. Anthony’s is WAYYYY BETTER. Would’ve never known if it wasn’t for you! Thank you
I don’t know what happened to this place but it’s not what it used to be. My wife and family had been coming here for 20+ years. I cannot believe the exchange I just had with the owner. The last 2 times we ordered here there was an issue. The first time they messed up an order with an allergy. This time my well done margarita pizza was sopping wet. I called and ask them to remake it. I wasn’t rude, or unkind. He asked me to bring it by. So I did. He offered me a refund I said no thank you I would just like a new pizza. The owner told me no and to order somewhere else! I told him I didn’t bring my card with me for the refund I just wanted my pizza. He said that’s ok we don’t need to see the card. So you made me drive there for WHAT?! I still didn’t get angry. I said you would rather lose my business permanently than to remake my pizza? He said yes, that he used to have 8 people working and is down to 4. Hmm I wonder why that is. You got it dude as you wish! I’ll take my business to pizzabella!

From pizza palace to pizza malice. What was once a pillar of pizza greatness from my childhood, a temple of cheese, sauce, and bread, has fallen by the wayside in its age. Much to my chagrin, I revisited this location after many years. After spending $25 on a large cheese pizza for myself and my family, I watched in horror as they took a pie that had been sitting in the display case for slices, threw it in the oven for 2 minutes, and served it in slices on paper plates. Never in my life have I been to a pizza place that uses this practice.

I hope that they stop doing this. The pizza was nothing like what I remember. The people deserve better. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Food was good! Pizza sauce was a little plain but still good. Fries were great! unfortunately I got my slice in one minute and waited 15 for the fries which made my slice go cold waiting. Still a good stop! Coordinate the timing of food to table don’t work separately but together to deliver all at once.

Went here last night after a meeting with my partner. We ordered a medium Dominco pizza, an eggplant parm sandwich, and their new app – fried avocado slices.

We were in and out of there in about 45 minutes. Food came out hot, fresh, and tasty.

The avocado bites were actually super good and served with a yummy parm peppercorn/caesar (not sure) dressing.

The staff weren’t super friendly, not rude by any means, but they were responsive and bagged up our food at the end for us. Nice.

Great spot! Friendly staff, wide variety on menu, fresh ingredients, wonderful combinations, prompt service. Great price points. I tried the Suzie’s favorite, regular fries, and waffle fries. They also have a ton of drink choices in the cooler and in the soda machine too! Easy parking, variety of seating, outside patio. TV with hockey on. Would be great for all kinds of groups: friends, family, casual date, intergenerational, to go, sports teams just to name a few. Brick oven pizza was delish, and their pizza sauce was perfection. I’ll be back

This pizza is the best and most authentic southern Italian pizza in North Central Mass. The crust and the sauce are perfect every time and they have a huge select of specialty pizzas that all sound so good. It’s going to take us a long time to try them all but I’m not mad about it. We drive 20 minutes to get here but it’s worth it for such good pizza.

I saw some guy get a good looking pizza slice and asked for the same thing and it was the best decision I could have made. Absolutely without a doubt whoever made my spicy chicken finger pizza slice was a master cook. My mouth is watering just remembering how good it was. Plus it only took 5 minutes which was great too. Definitely going regularly for slices!

This was our first visit to Sorrentos and sadly our last. We had our Grandboys with us and right off the bat the atmosphere was stressed. Three of us ordered 2 slices each ( no prices available for slices) 2 drinks ended up with tip $70 for a pizza place..hmm. Slices big unable to finish. Husband went up for box woman threw all the pizza slices on top of each other in a bag? I went up to get a box and she said “see the man” huh? I think must have been the owner began to yell at me ( a 67 year old woman being reprimanded for asking for a box. He was yelling “you order pizza,we make pizza, you eat pizza..WE DONE!!! I would gladly have paid for the box just to keep the pizza from getting ruined. In all my years of buying pizza I have never been treated this way. My Grandsons were very upset. I asked him why are you being so rude? He just continued to shout at which point we left. I hope our business was worth losing for a lousy box!!

We’ve been coming here for over 15 years and happily spent thousands on their food, but the new crust is just terrible. It’s sad because we really loved this place. The old crew working behind the counter were awesome, but then some older gentleman fired them all or they quit and now it’s a sad excuse for what it once was. If he is the owner, they are doomed. The guy is sexiest and just has no business talking to customers or running a business. If you can’t keep employees, that should tell you all you need to know.

CHANGE THE CRUST BACK TO THE ORIGINAL RECIPE. No one wants cheaper cornmeal in the crust.
