I recently had my wedding at Sorrento’s Banquet Hall on February 14, 2026, and unfortunately my experience was very different from the first event I hosted there previously.
From the beginning, things felt a little too easy when booking, but since I had used this venue before, I trusted the process. We agreed on a total price of $4,300, which I was told included the open bar, security, venue, and food for 100 guests when I provided my $500 deposit. About a week before the wedding, the price suddenly increased by $300, which was stressful so close to the event.
We had also discussed black linens at the time of booking, and I was told that would be taken care of. However, during rehearsal I was informed that we “never spoke about it,” and that it would cost an additional $200 if I wanted them.
On the wedding day, there were several disappointments. The food was cold, and although I paid for food for 110 guests based on RSVPs, only around 70 people attended. Despite paying for the extra meals, I was only given one container of each food selection to take home, which did not reflect the amount I paid for. I believe if I paid for the food, I should have received what was left over.
There were also cleanliness concerns. The wine glasses at the head table had lipstick marks from a previous event, and one of the forks still had food residue on it. I do have photos documenting this.
Additionally, I was never informed upfront that $140 for security was not included in the original quoted price, which created another unexpected expense. Thankfully, I had extra funds available, but I had budgeted carefully based on the $4,300 total I was originally told.
One positive note — the waitstaff and bartenders were excellent. They had great attitudes, were attentive, and were one of the highlights of the evening. The venue itself was also beautiful and decorated nicely.
However, after my cake cutting, I was asked if I wanted my cake boxed up instead of it being served to guests, which was surprising and required me to clarify instructions.
Overall, while parts of the day were beautiful, I was disappointed with the pricing inconsistencies, communication issues, food quality, and cleanliness concerns. My advice to future couples is to get every single detail and charge clearly written and confirmed upfront, including linens, security, guest counts, and leftovers, to avoid surprises.

My daughter had her wedding reception here in September of 2024. Joe was absolutely amazing to work with! Everything he promised, he delivered! My family still talks about watching him come out to check in the party and seeing the smile on his face that everything was going well. We knew that our reception mattered to him, and that he was invested in the night turning out perfectly. Joe worked with us on all changes, and helped us through the whole process. Have been going here for years for dinner and for events in their banquet hall. They never -ever disappoint. For our Girl’s Night Out/In we picked Sorrento’s and so happy that we did. We ordered a simple angel hair pasta with meatballs that was just divine. Love their sauce and the pasta was cooked to perfection. We also got the eggplant parmigiana dinner with a side of pasta…sooo good! Last but not least a whale size piece of Icelandic cod fried deliciously and enough for two meals. This was accompanied with fair style fries. Everything was so wonderful and we will be back many, many times!

I had my wedding reception here last week and I had zero stress about the day! The staff took care of the entire day. They allowed us to decorate the day before which was wonderful! We never had to lift a finger about the food, dessert or anything. Joe treated us like family and the staff were all so wonderful! As the bride and groom, we were able to just enjoy ourselves. The guests made sure we knew that the food was so delicious and the atmosphere was fun! We would recommend Sorrentos to anyone who is looking to hold a reception or party here!

I have been going here since I was young, the food is SO good! The staff is so nice and the whole atmosphere is so welcoming. The pizza is amazing as well as the pasta! Yum My family of 5 usually spend around $80 all together which is not bad at all for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Mauro is so friendly and welcoming and always greets us when we arrive. Such a wonderful guy! Jessica is the best waitress, you can’t tell me otherwise! My mom and dad chose to do their wedding here, my mom said,” I trusted them to make it stress free”. The sauce is soooo good we get it all the time for pasta nights! Joe deserves a round of applause, he’s so nice and makes the best food! Love you Joe

We had the reception for my son’s wedding here. Staff were super helpful, kept the buffet stocked at all times. Great open bar and bar tenders were super friendly. Building was clean and outside garden area was beautiful with fountain. Police officer on duty was super nice, required for events, and made sure to say hi to everyone.
