The yoga was pretty good but the space was too sweet. Both curry dishes we had were too sweet for our liking as well. Maybe we are too use to Indian curry? Veggie lovers with chicken was really good. The crab fried rice was not so great, did not smell very fresh to me. The service took pretty long for so few people at the time of our order.

A fantastic Thai restaurant that opened in GT square. Location is great. Service was fantastic- everyone was friendly and nice. The star of the experience is the food. The curry and Pad Thai we ordered were well seasoned and cooked. They have a nice long bar which lit up the place. They make nice looking cocktails which I didn’t try. The place was full on a Wednesday evening and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Georgetown desperately needed good Thai food, and Sorn Thai fills that gap. I’d say this is currently the best Thai option in town. While they don’t include some last-mile ingredients that would make it A+ traditional, it’s solid, well-executed, and does a good job bridging the Georgetown market to real Asian food.
Highly recommend the papaya salad, Sorn rolls (they’re definitely not just egg rolls), curries, pad krapow, and the sweet and tangy shrimp. Everything we tried was well-balanced and satisfying.
The restaurant comes from the same owners as Seeda and Khon Thai in Austin, with several recipes inspired by the co-owner’s mother, which shows in the depth of flavor. Great spot before walking Georgetown Square, grabbing drinks, or taking visiting friends.

We went on a weekday when it’s not so busy.

First time visiting, they are new to the square. Let me start with the food, it was pretty great. I spent a decent amount of time in Thailand and my wife lived there for well over a year and it was really solid. The atmosphere is good. It is basically the same as the prior place here repainted and new seating.
The service is where they have the most space to improve.
We had a reservation. We arrived on time and stood at the hostess stand for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged or spoken too despite the staff setting is all standing there. There were a few other couples also just standing up there waiting, with no one seeming to be seating people.
Once We finally got seated service was okay but it was apparent the waitresses were over booked and also trying to man the hosteees stand. I only saw 2 waitresses for the entire place. There were other food runners too.
A few people got tired of waiting and just left. The food was definitely worth it, we will try again and hope they are working out staffing kinks and hiring more people.

We went on the second night it opened, so I am definitely being generous about the service because I have high hopes!

BUT the food was really flavorful, perfectly cooked and you can tell they’ve put a ton of effort into making the space cozy.

There was really good live music, the Mai Tai was yummy, and the food was authentic and spicy. The menu is huge and there are great cocktails.

We got the Panang curry and the Tiger Cry. The curry flavor is exactly what I want when I get Thai curry, the veggies were cooked perfectly.

We will be back in a few weeks to see how they’re doing. But 100% a five star experience for day two. Great to have options on the square that isn’t another burger place.

Absolutely delicious! This was our first time in as it’s fairly new. Even though it was really busy, we were treated like gold. John the bartender was great, even giving us small samples of their signature drinks. Great atmosphere, we will be back soon.

We are so happy to have a thai restaurant in the square, not just any thai but a beautiful space, friendly and kind owners, who have put their blood sweat and tears into the place, that we got to meet during our experience, with incredible food. We will be back and hopefully become regulars. Our dining experience did not disappoint. 5 stars! Highly recommend. Book a reso!

Overall, a fantastic visit. I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai—which was a generous portion—and a refreshing tea. It’s a popular spot that can get busy, so timing is key, but the experience was top-notch.

Let’s try this place! The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend everyone to try this dish — the Spicy Thai Beef Soup (Tom Saap). So flavorful, bold, and incredibly satisfying. A must-try! And Beef Salad so delicious.

Saturday 1/10 at lunch time.

Atmosphere: Very upscale bar enviroment for a thai resturant. Good date night spot.

Service: Attentive and ready to answer questions.

Food: Dissapointing and lacking authentic flavors.
Khao soi (fusion): 3/10
-Curry was not an authentic black cardamon red paste, looked and tasted like a yellow and was extremely thick. Curry turned a dark brown after 10 minutes.
-Protein was a small piece of chicken katsu sliced and buried in the sauce. I’m assuming this is what makes it “fusion”.
– Noodles: noodles were very fresh flat egg noodles and small bits of fried noodles garnished the dish.
Sides: Only a lime wedge was served. Missing pickled mustard greens, fried chili flakes, and shallot/red onion.

Pad see ew: 5/10
-Protein: Ordered beef for a $4 upcharge. Was not preseasoned or marinated; lacked flavor and tough to chew.
-Noodles: fresh wide flat noodles, cooked perfectly with a bit of chew.
-Vegetables: very little broccoli stocks and leaves. No garlic.
-Sauce: tasted generic no hints of oyster or fish sauce.
