Delicious food! We can’t wait to come back and try more. The space is modern & comfortable. Loved the flowers on each table and general decor. We tried the Huli Huli Chicken and Steak Frites and both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We just wish the portions were bigger. More fries with the steak would’ve definitely made it worth the cost and my chicken could’ve used a bit more veggies side. Going up to the bar to order is a bit awkward as then the seat you chose isn’t saved while your gone. I’m surprised they don’t use QR codes to order from your table. That way people can still order without a server and without leaving their seats. We had to ask if we had to go back up to the bar to pick up the food or if it would be brought over. They use table service for everything except ordering which we have never experienced before.

It was a great meal from start to finish. The staff were great and venue is cozy with the wonderful smell of wood smoke. The food was delicious as well. We split the spam musabi, Huli Huli Chicken and fries and cleaned the plates. I am truly enjoyed my Okinawa Old Fashioned. We will definitely be back and we’re texting friends about it while we were there.

This place is absolutely incredible! We went for our first time tonight and we could not have asked for a better experience. All of our food and drinks were amazing and service was fast! Everyone was so kind and the hospitality was off of the charts. One of the owners sat us, and at the end asked us how everything was and if they could be doing anything better (we didn’t have an answer!). We had a few beers, the Yuzu drop cocktail, spam musubi, katsu curry with chicken, and the kielbasa and pierogies. There was so much more on the menu we wanted to try, and we will certainly be back for more! We absolutely recommend Braddock Public House (and getting a reservation on the weekends).

Super cozy spot that brings warmth and life to an otherwise industrial area.
Amazing food, the bang bang shrimp was super delicious and crunchy and came with pineapple diced, and that fresh pop of fruit with the slightly spiced sauce was just incredible. Mac salad was also so good, noodles were a great texture not overcooked or squishy. The blueberry lemonade is also so refreshing!

Tried the real deal Spam musubi for the first time at Braddock Public House. I now get why Hawaiians never let this secret out. Then came the karaage chicken wings… legit the best wings of my waking moments. Juicy like KFC but wrapped in a cloud-like fluffy potato starch batter that had me questioning reality. It was also served with a miso dill ranch sauce, delightful.
Braddock, you keep surprising me. Next time around I’m going to try the recommended Katsu Sando (sandwich) and dessert pierogis. I heard tomorrow a new menu is being planned with some new menu items including katsu curry and a tuna dish.
The story behind this place runs deep: the building was once home to Superior Motors, Kevin Sousa’s groundbreaking restaurant that gained international acclaim for bringing fine dining to Braddock, right across from the town’s steel mill. The property itself is owned by Senator John Fetterman, who has lived upstairs with his family for years and was instrumental in reimagining Braddock’s future through food and community projects like the Free Store.
Today, the space has a new life as Braddock Public House, led by Matt Katase (originally from Hawaii) and Alaina Webber, the team behind Brew Gentlemen. Katase first came to Pittsburgh to study at Carnegie Mellon University, where he and Asa Foster dreamed up the idea of starting a brewery. Brew Gentlemen opened in 2014 just down the street, helping fuel Braddock’s cultural revival with craft beer and a focus on neighborhood growth. Now, with the Public House, Katase and Webber are carrying that same mission forward — blending global flavors with local roots, and proving Braddock is still one of the most exciting food stories in Pittsburgh.

Recently took my family here and everyone loved it and continues to talk about how they can’t wait to go back. This is huge because my family rarely branches out and tries new places. I’ve been to Braddock Public House and have enjoyed my visits each time. The atmosphere is inviting and makes you want to go over and over. They have a great selection of BG beers and the menu is so unique! I loved the deviled eggs at brunch and the skillet cinnamon rolls were SO GOOD. I can’t wait to go back! Plus, the parking is amazing which was a huge plus for my family.

Have stopped by a few times since they opened and each time has been awesome. I love the set up of a runner for bringing you water or clearing the table, etc but otherwise ordering from bar. Makes it a low key dinner and less formal while in a beautiful restaurant. Absolutely love the windows and set up and aesthetic of the entire place. They’ve added some more decor throughout which we always love to check out. The food has been excellent and the beer is always some of the best in Pittsburgh and the best in craft beer. Love the updated menu and options. Can’t wait to check out the brunch.

What a cool little restaurant. Fully open kitchen which is so unique. We sat at the bar and literally felt like I was in the kitchen with the chefs. The grill is right in front of you and you can feel the heat from the fire wood the chef adds to it and cooks right over. The food was very good all around. Burger was a little small/light leaving me a little hungry but the fries filled me up. I guess being American we expect large portions. Overall I’ll be back and this is a great place. Their homemade beer was very good as well. Support them and check them out!
