This place is AMAZING. I was really surprised with the quality of food they offer.
My husband ordered chicken parm and I ordered vodka rigatoni. We had a delicious dining experience.
Vodka rigatoni was a 9.1/10 and Chicken Parm 8.5/10.
Homemade bread 8.5/10 Salad 7.5/10 Pizza 7.9/10 I recommend this place 100% if you are looking for something close to Italian food. It is a family run business that deserves attention.
We had been noticing this tiny diner that sits way back from the road all by itself and at first thought was “is it even in business?” It doesn’t look like much. And it having an empty, unfinished parking lot and some old rusted car sitting up by the street being the first thing you might notice, it might through you off a little. But don’t let that stop you. They are fairly new and my feeling is they are going to do great.
You let off the gas a little as you drive by to try and see through the full-glass frontal, and can make out what looks like an old-school breakfast bar with matching mounted stools.
Usually only one or two additional parked cars at any given time that I’ve ever noticed in passing.
There’s an open/closed sign lit-up so in time you come to realize something “is” going on inside there. It’s enough to get you curious.
So one day recently our curiosity got the best of us and we pulled in. Our car being the only car on that huge parking lot was ominous.
As we stepped in we were very pleased to see the place was well intact and VERY CLEAN. And I’m a guy that judges a place by its bathrooms, not by the lot so much. When my girl came got back to the table she said it was very clean in there and in order, just like the rest of the place.
So we order simple and get cheese steaks the way we like them.
*Not only where they absolutely delicious, they were full and heavy. And the bread always makes the sandwich. Without exaggeration, they nailed it.
The prices are very reasonable.
Not only do you feel like you’ve stepped back in time when you walk in, and the food was pleasing, the service was warm and you felt at home.
So we saved their menu and today we called in, ordered there pizza just the way we like it for take-out. Without disappointment that pie was perfect, ready when they said and inexpensive!
* Good food. Good service. Good old-school feel. Good place to keep in mind! Good place to bring the kids, relax, and have a really good meal. Also great if you want to surprise some of your more curious friends with their good food and old school atmosphere. I’m sure our faces lightened up quite a bit when we walked through that door, from lightly concerned to right at home right away.
They will most definitely see us more often from now on, even if it’s just to grab a quick bite.
We will be exploring the rest of the menu…There’s more to this place than meets the eye.
My reviews will likely rise the more we go. We liked it there much more than we thought we would. It’s got promise!
It has been many places in the past. Covid took their feet out from under them at on time under a different owner. Its been given another try, so please go.
Prior to that it was a STEWART’S and hasn’t changed that vibe very much.
It’ll easily be my new surprise when asking friends to join us from now on, or when im having a party and need catering.
It gives a fun feeling of old times for me, and it being in a place like Allentown NJ,
I probably shouldn’t have been so surprised, I love that tiny antique town.
So SORELLA’S TRATTORIA gets a big, fat YES from us.

A hidden gem for sure!!
You know those places that feel like they belong in a movie? Tucked down a dusty road, past miles of open land, sits a little pizza spot run by an old couple who clearly put their heart and soul into every inch of it.
Walking in, you’re greeted not just by the smell of fresh dough and slow-simmered tomato sauce, but by two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. No frills, no flash—just worn wooden booths, faded family photos on the walls, and the kind of warmth that can’t be faked.
And the pizza? Unreal. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside—the kind of texture only decades of experience can deliver. The sauce has a slow-cooked richness, slightly sweet with just enough tang, and the cheese bubbles over the edges in that golden, slightly burnt way you secretly love. Every bite tastes like it came from a recipe passed down, tested, and perfected for generations.
They don’t rush. They don’t cut corners. You won’t find QR codes or fancy cocktails—but you will find a cold soda, a game of checkers waiting by the window, and a level of care that’s almost impossible to come by anymore.
If you’re ever passing through—or even if you’re not—this place is worth the detour. It’s not just a meal. It’s a memory.
