Had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed it! We got the shrimp ceviche, tamales, and the birria de res – they were all fantastic. The portions of meat/shrimp in the dishes were plenty! Highly recommend the blood orange margaritas as well; perfect mix of sweet and tart. Music choice and ambience was top tier as well!

I went here one day for girls’ happy hour and sat at the bar. The tacos were very tasty, though I would’ve liked a little more shrimp because it wasn’t very filling. The service was great and everyone was kind and attentive.

Delicious spot and the ambience is excellent (whoever is controlling the aux – don’t let it go! lol the music mix was top tier). We ordered the guac (fresh and savory with a hint of spice), papas bravas, tamal oaxaqueno, and enfrijoladas. The tamal was soft and the perfect texture along with braised pork inside. The enfrijolada was a perfect size and the beans were delicious. Ended our lunch with churros drizzled in chocolate, so good! Would recommend

This is my go to Mexican because of the flavor of every dish they make. Fresh with depth of flavor. I get the blood orange marg each time. Any place that carries La Gritona tequila is going to make great drinks and Ian the nicest bartender makes each drink delicious. The servers are wonderful and friendly!

High quality Mexican restaurant with free parking and a large outdoor sitting area (major plus!). I’ve been to Sor Ynez a handful of times and they always have extremely high quality ingredients.
I recently came for happy hour after not visiting for a couple of years and was surprised by the change to the birria tacos. They used to have cheese and be on a hard crispy shell, now theyre on a soft taco with salsa verde. The consomme made the soft taco fall apart and get soggy. The meat was seasoned well though.
The shrimp tostada was tasty and fresh. The classic margarita was also perfect! Service is next level attentive, everyone was so kind. Overall, I know I’m getting good quality food here but it is very pricey (definitely have to come during happy hour). I think I would still come back with friends in the summer for drinks and happy hour bites in the outdoor area.

Such a hidden gem! We were recommended this place and very pleased that we went! It is basically in the middle of what looks like a warehouse-style building, so we judged a book by the cover and lowered expectations. We were proven wrong. Our service was exceptional, cocktails (included espresso martinis with mezcal…yum!) and entrees were so delicious. I want to go back tonight for dinner!

Our trip to Sor Ynez was incredible. It was our first time there & we found out about them through word of mouth. The food far surpassed other “well-known” Mexican joints in the neighborhood, in both taste, presentation, and value. You can tell they put a lot of love into making every single dish. We got the guac (and enough chips!), brussel sprouts (wow), birria, enchiladas, and the enmoladas. Everything was absolutely delicious & perfectly portioned. The food was perfectly spicy, not spicy hot, but where you can taste spice subtly in the back of your mouth. I like that they are several dishes they can make vegan. The margs were balanced, the white sangria was crisp, not at all sugary. Our server was really, really good, it was clear he is experienced & was timely without it seeming rushed. The host (maybe the owner) was incredibly kind & checked in with us too. I left a note on my Resy that it was my partner’s birthday, not knowing they’d read it or if they’d do anything with it (didn’t expect it of course). Well, they brought out a small flan with a candle for his birthday. It was a complete surprise & it was delicious, not at all too sugary. This is such a hidden gem, we cannot wait to come back!

Camera roll photo dump of probably only 5% of the food I’ve had at Sor Ynez. Suffice to say, I’m a regular here. First off, the staff are so lovely. It’s always a great sign when you see the same staff month after month – they seem to genuinely enjoy working there. And the food – so unique and delicious. Whether you go for brunch, dinner, or happy hour, every dish is so thoughtful. They have specials frequently which are always fun to try, and they rotate the menu seasonally. The patio is dog friendly in the warm weather and they sometimes have live music there, which makes a great atmosphere.
