Pastries here are delicious and the young ladies at the counter are so sweet. Great customer service. However not sure what is going on with management. We saw a sign about RI food fights that stated you need to make a $5 purchase in order to get the $5 breakfast sandwich. We have done this challenge before and you pay money to buy tickets for the sandwiches. This seems like it is probably a deterrent for customers and would keep people from spending more.
Unfortunately the food is really mediocre and microwaved. I wanted to like our sandwiches more but it just wasn’t tasting fresh. Our coffees were also lacking flavor and we had to add a ton of sugar despite it being flavored. This is our third time trying here and have had the same issues every time

Stopped in during a long roadtrip.
Took a chance on this local option and it was very pleasant.
I had the chipotle chicken on sourdough which came with some baked bagel chips. Those were surprisingly good!
I also ordered a carmel machiatto. Everything came up fast.
Everyone was very nice, and the dining area was clean and cozy.

Coffee bar serves breakfast lunch and their own bake goods I believe they roast as well as brew. We stopped by for coffee and a quick bite. Delicious salmon bale and iced coffee. Not associated with brewery down the road. Place was with what looked to be regulars. Prices seemed very fair

So listen, I’ve been coming to Sophie’s for years now. Over the time the quality of the ice coffee (particularly flavored varieties) has gone dramatically down hill. Please taste test this stuff, it’s awful. Additionally, a breakfast sandwich and a large iced coffee (which again, has a 75% chance of tasting awful) totaling to $15 is quite high. When I started coming 3 years ago it was $9.30 for the same meal, I get food prices have increased, but much of that has come down.
So if you start to wonder why regulars aren’t coming in as much, it’s because your flavored coffee is horrendous and the price to value just isn’t there any more

The coffee is amazing here and the service is good. The atmosphere is really nice to meet up with friends or to have a work session.
The food is good, but there is a limited selection of vegan options. So far I know are there no vegan pastrie options.

Sandwich was dry beyond belief. Tasted like I was eating sand. Then after I a few bites I noticed mold all over the bread. I might save it and bring it back. The staff was unfriendly and borderline rude. Never going back. I suggest spending money else where. This place sucks.

Short review: We found part of a plastic wrapper in our breakfast sandwich. Totally unacceptable and dangerous.
Long Review: So the food here usually is pretty good, a bit expensive, but good. However I’ve noticed the service speeds are kind of ridiculous when they are slightly busy. Like waiting 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich slow. The lady making the sandwiches today seemed more interested in chatting up a customer over actually making the food. She talked the entire time I waiting for 20 minutes while moving at a snails pace. When I actually got the food it wasn’t even the kind of bagel I ordered and had a piece of a plastic wrapper inside of it. We only found it while eating the sandwich. Totally ridiculous unless something changes I’ll probably never come back

I love this little cafe. They don’t stay open very late. The coffee and sandwiches are super good. The girls that work here are very sweet. It’s a little pricey, but the quality is great. I have only had their breakfast sandwiches here, but hopefully I’ll try their lunch sandwiches next time.

I loved their iced coffee! Delicious bagels with lots of add on options and tons of breakfast options! Lots of seating inside & a few seats outside too. My favorite part was they have paper straws! (Which I’ve found a lot of Rhode Island places don’t normally have.) Didn’t get to try the nitro cold brew but it’s on the list next time!
