Never did I ever think I would have the best BBQ if my life in Pennsylvania, but my partner said this rivals the best BBQ he’s ever had – in Kansas City, MO! Devon, our server, was so helpful with helping us decide (there were so many delicious options!), but also super kind and easy to talk to! We made a pit stop here because we got some items from Brew Your Own Beer down the street, and are we glad we did! We are legitimately thinking of moving to Havertown simply to be around this restaurant – it’s an experience and some great bbq you don’t want to miss.

The BEST bbq I’ve had in a long time!! Celebrated a friends birthday and we had been hoping to visit this place for a while and it did NOT disappoint. We all ordered something different and equally loved our meals. Did not get drinks this go around but will absolutely be back. I will say, our server was a bit rude to my friend multiple times (mind you she’s a quiet, polite person by nature) but besides that, amazing experience and food. 10/10.

Sophie’s BBQ is hands down one of the best barbecue spots I’ve had in years. I ordered the full rack of dry BBQ ribs and the dry brisket—both were incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato hush puppies were a standout side—crispy, sweet, and absolutely delicious.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience feel welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend this spot to any BBQ lover!

Top tier BBq in the greater Philly area. Comparable to Mike’s in the city. Went on Father’s Day so service was slow due to volume but overall good. Flavors were excellent. Great bark on all the meats. Choice to not go over sweet in the cornbread and sweet potatoes mash was excellent. Beans were rich without being overwhelming. Just absolutely solid all round.

Came here twice now for a birthday dinner with my family. Delicious food in large portions. I got the barbecue sandwich with pork belly burnt ends, and a vapor wave IPA. The alcohol was OK, but the food as before was great. The pork belly burnt ends was soft and sweet. Also was not expecting that size of a side of fries but it was 100% worth it. We also shared a BBQ Blooming Onion which was better than Outback’s or Texas Roadhouse’s in my opinion. Definitely come to Sophie’s for some good home made bbq.

Our first time here and we will be back. Excellent Dinner on a Thursday Night, we were greeted by our very friendly waitress Devon. She informed us kids eat free on Thursday as a heads up that the restaurant gets pretty busy throughout the night. I had the BBQ platter, ribs were falling off the bone delicious! My friend had the Duck Cubano Special which he says is his new favorite sandwich incorporating two of his favorite foods. He’s obsessed!
