One of the best foods in town. Not only Mexican but also Salvadoran and even American. Great pupusas better than the ones in near the area. The food always looks like it’s made fresh and never frozen and they take their time to make it. Which is amazing! Great service and even greater food! 10/10 would recommend

My review is based on a take out veggie burrito. It was just meh. Huge but was just full of white rice, a tiny bit of beans. I did not see or taste the cheese or crema that was supposed to be on the dish. Pretty bland because the veggies were just peppers and onions and lettuce, maybe a bit of corn. The burrito was topped with guac, big whoop. Disappointing for “authentic” Mexican food. Certainly nothing to write home about.

We came in right before closing. The chips that they served were stale, but the salsa was delicious. I ordered a steak burrito. First and foremost they serve a lot of food but everything was extremely bland. The guacamole was delicious. The other person we came with ordered a quesadilla (Chicken) and he complained that it was bland as well.
I do not recommend this place.

At one time this was a good restaurant however it got very political. I don’t think mixing politics and Mexican food is a good combination. They have political posters proclaiming their support of the democratic party in front of the restaurant. This is inappropriate and an insult to those people with opposing views. They are entitled to their opinion however politics and food don’t mix in my opinion. Until they remove their political signs, we are not going to participate in attending this restaurant.

I gave them two stars just because of the service and it being a family business. When I first came here a year ago the food was delish! I came in today for a Torta de Milanesa because it was always the best item on the menu but sadly it lacked everything I was accustomed to. They made it on a long roll versus a Portuguese roll, stopped using queso Oxaca, it lacked flavor and was light on all other ingredients refried beans were hard to find much less taste.
Sadly I won’t make this my spot for Mexican food anymore. I think the owners changed and they were very courteous but people come for the food as well.

Love this place ❤️!! Went there last night for dinner…the food was fabulous and the staff were great! I love Mexican food, but hate cilantro. They had no problem with cooking my food cilantro free…!!! That is a big deal for those of us that can’t stand cilantro!

This place is a gem in the West New York / Gutenberg area. The food is all made from scratch, including the chips and salsa down to the tortillas for the tacos. It’s well worth the wait.
Notable dishes are the Chiles Rellenos, as well as the Fajitas and the Sopes. Also, for dessert, ask about the Soona Cake, since it’s to die for.
This is the go-to place for homemade Mexican food in this neighborhood
