I was looking for a late night restaurant and decided to give this place a try. The kimchi soup was flavorful and spicy, I really loved it! All the dishes were tasty, though the steamed egg was a bit too bland for my taste. Overall, it was a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spot to eat and drink late at night in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have wanted to come here for a while, and our biggest complaint is that we waited too long. Wonderful food, we had grilled chicken and beef entrees, with an appetizer of shrimp tempura– all exceptional and wheeled out to us on a cart! A smaller family-owned business with two locations, the other being in Vancouver, WA. Friendly service, clean location. We shall definitely return.

Recently opened location in the former Lardo location. Vibrant decor and interior design.

The food is so bad. I love Koeean food but this was not appetizing at all.

The jap chae arrived overcooked. I did attempt to eat a few bites but after wrestling with the noodles due to the overly gummy texture- I gave up. I requested to return the dish. The server informed me that japchae is supposed to be gummy. This is absolutely not true. Don’t accept noodles you can’t actually chew.

The bulgolgi arrived cooked in veggies which was a surprise. There wasn’t much meat- maybe seven (7) small pieces. The dish wasn’t spicy despite paying the upcharge for spicy. There was watery broth at the bottom of the bowl. Bulgolgi is not supposed to be served as a soup or a stir fried vegetable dish.

The ban chan was decent. My dining partner liked the kimchi. The soup was miso- like but no discernable flavor.

The rice off- like it had sat too long and was no longer fresh.

Ps. My dining partner suffered gi distress later that day after the meal. Will not return.

Love the dolsot bibimbop and kalbi. The seafood pancake came out crispy and delicious. Much better price and taste than fusion at ajitran.
New happy hour

We had an excellent experience here! The service is attentive and genuine. The food was fresh and flavorful and they took the time to explain dishes that may have been unfamiliar to us, letting us know their favorites and providing recommendations. I felt like I was dining in someone’s home 🙂

I was originally planning to visit another Korean restaurant but remembered that the former Lardo location had been converted into a Korean spot I hadn’t tried yet. I’m glad I gave it a shot—everything we ordered was tasty and met our expectations. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. It’s not mind-blowing, but it’s solid. I’m just happy to have Sool in the neighborhood so I don’t have to travel far for a decent Korean meal. The service was also very good and tentative. I will certainly go back again.

Glad there is second option for Korean food in LO. Soft opening, so plenty kinks to work on. However food was solid, not the banchan (side dishes which are pretty much mandatory staple with Korean food) and dish came with side seaweed soup, which I really liked but not sure about non-Korean would like that.). Bulkoki tasted just fine, but it is minced meat.. kimchi tofu with pork was solid. Steam egg was fluffiest and one of the yummiest steamed egg I ever had. Will definitely go back once little more settled

Kimchi Jiggae is my go to meal for any rainy day here in the PNW. I’ve had really tasty and really bland Kimchi Jiggae and this honestly by far is one of my favorites! This particular Kimchi Jiggae is worth the money. It was very flavorful, great spiciness to it, had a ton of pork belly, lots of kimchi, TON of green onions (which is a plus in my opinion), and a bonus was mushrooms. I don’t think I’ve had mushrooms before in Kimchi Jiggae.

It was my first time trying and I did not know this hidden gem existed in Lake Oswego so conveniently close to my work place as well! I’ll be coming here more to try other dishes. This definitely is a place you’ll want to go try if you’re looking for some delicious authentic Korean food! I went during lunch time in the pouring atmospheric rain we’ve been having so it was really quiet but the vibe of the restaurant was really great! I’d highly recommend trying them out.
