I’ve been to this restaurant twice, and I really appreciate the service and the overall atmosphere. I usually come here for the banquet. To be honest, for me, the banquet set is quite expensive compared to the amount of food served
The funniest thing I noticed was that the potato chips in the set were listed as part of the mains instead of the entrees. Overall, my family had to order extra dishes separately, which was the only reason we ended up feeling full If we had only ordered the banquet, I don’t think it would have been enough.
In summary, since this is a high-end restaurant, the prices are on the higher side. That said, the food is fresh and tasty.

The location, amazing, the ambience, tradition with the full Japanese experience on offer. Book in advance to not be disappointed. Parking on offer but only for 2h underground. My previous experience had me rolling out although after this banquet, I felt the portions were smaller. The quality if each dish still keeps my family coming back.

Wonderful lunch! Book ahead the sunken seats and enjoy a water view. The kingfisher cheek was massive and we’ll worth it. Also liked the crab croquette and kingfish sushi hand rolls, and the eggplant.

Service was 10/10 – with special mention to the front desk staff (Brontë) who gave us a great table for a special occasion, and our waitress Wokana – the service that we received was all round impeccable – thanks for looking after us so well! We ordered their crab chawanmushi which was very silky and flavourful. Then, we got the Sukiyaki with their A5 wagyu which definitely worth the price, especially it was a good portion and balance between meat & veggie. Good selections of drinks too!
A little suggestion would be,
Maybe customers can have a bigger table if they intend to have hotpot (like an option to choose that during reservation).

Excellent Japanese dining experience by the river, with standout dishes — the sashimi was fresh and delicate, the crab chawanmushi was silky and flavorful, and the A5 wagyu beef simply outstanding. The only miss was the tataki, which was unfortunately a bit over cooked rather than lightly seared.. The tables with the riverview were Japanese seating and they had private dining cabin as well. Overall, a memorable meal, excellent service with a small letdown.

Dined here around 5 times and will always go back. Oyster stock is pretty low, normally we buy the rest of the oysters they have, but always worth it!
The lime oysters and raspberry oysters are amazing.
The A5 wagyu literally melts in your mouth however very small serving. The sauces that come with it are good too.
Will also always recommend the sashimi platter.
Atmosphere is very refreshing, love the open kitchen design as well.
The views are also great, definitely a nice date spot.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch – we had the Sono tasting course – with the black cod and wagyu main course as our selection. Miu was fantastic and very friendly! Will be back soon.

Genuinely the best food I have ever had in my life. I came here for a special occasion, finishing my university studies, however the service was subpar. My partner organized the restaurant for the special occasion. They asked for the occasion but did not mention ever again, and throughout the food service it was hard to hear servers explanation which were also sometimes unclear. For 225$ per person, it was disappointing, there was just no actual customer service.
