I love sonny’s but sadly the one by our house closed down. So we were happy to find one on our travels. They were a little busy and appeared to be under staffed but we were seated and greeted pretty quickly. Amber was our server and she did great. Very friendly and attentive. Our food came out within 10 minutes and it was delicious. Loved every bit of it as always.

How bad it is to have such incompetent staff, especially the one who attends the drive tru, a guy with such a bad attitude, with such bad energy and discriminatory, a rude and mocking guy, try to filter the staff you hire. While I was talking to the manager, the guy went to where the staff was to continue making fun of me and he kept laughing… on my part and I know they DON’T care but they lost a client.

We Waited a long time for food, people next to us came in at least 10 mins after us and were almost done eating by the time we got our food. Waitress kept going by and I think saying food is on the way. She mumbled so we couldn’t hear her. Fries were warm not hot. We waited on a box and bill. Got the box and ended up just paying with cash just to get out. I am glad we did because while we were waiting to pay our waitress she was having a smoke break. We saw her as we walked to our truck…won’t be back.

Man lived in Lakeland going on 7 years. I’m not sure why it took me so long, but man, the food was awesome! Quick service, attentive waitress, The GM was there asking how well we liked the food? What an early dinner late lunch. Both my wife and I had the sampler platter. Food was spot on! Moist, tasty, big portions, just great place to eat. Highly recommend!

I gave a 2 star because we sat at our table for 45 minutes waiting for our appetizer and food. It was not because of our waiter it was because of the restaurant catering to take outs and drive-thrus instead of the customers that come in and sit in the restaurant to eat it’s a shame when the customers are put s instead of the drive-thrus and the call ins. Very poor service by managers.

When we arrived the greeter was putting forks and knives in the paper pouch and didn’t even look at us. When she finally decided to help us she just turned around with an angry expression and only said “how many?”. Then took us to the table, put the menus and silverware and left (no “your server will be with you” or anything). The server came, her name is Destiny, and she was very nice, that was a good thing after our first impression with the other one. She was extremely helpful with our undecided son and explained the changes in the menu since the last time we’d been at a Sonny’s. The food arrived at room temperature but we didn’t think it was our server, it appeared as if she was the only one working there, and the only nice one too.
