First time visiting, in the mood for BBQ and didn’t want to take the drive to Frostproof. Very satisfied with our choice. Prices were very low for the quantity and quality provided, curious how they remain solvent with $2 draft beers and $18 three-meat three-side meals. I got the pulled chicken, pulled pork and St. Louis ribs with beans and baked sweet potato. Everything was delicious, even the grilled Texas toast. They have four sauces though Smokin’ and Sizzlin’ were my favorites, not as sweet as the other two…they have something for everyone. Wasn’t very busy on a Friday night. And my partner’s coleslaw was some of the best I’ve had dining out. Our waitress, Yasmin, was absolutely wonderful…great personality, very conversational and attentive. Will visit again for sure.

We walked in the Sonny’s , were greeted, and then sat down right next to the entrance right away. We were greeted by the waitress Yazmine, Her service was beyond expectations. She was really nice, friendly and courteous The only thing I would say was the macaroni and cheese was just a little bit greasy to my liking, everything else was 5/5 stars!! definitely will be back again. I love Sonny’s!!

The food came out hot and fresh. Everything tasted great from the pulled pork, baby back ribs, macaroni and cheese and the potato salad. The toast was also amazing.

Our server was Yasmin, great service. I order the San Luis ribs and then someone else had the baby back ribs. Who was good I like the fact that you can change between barbecue sauces now the beans were a little too sweet for me but the area was nice and clean good parking and the bathrooms are good.

To be honest I think these were some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. These are some of the most tender on the inside and nicely chared on the outside with sauce added during and after the grill. The sauce was perfection and the meat was just… Like I kept saying “Mmm” after most bites! These were nice and saucy St. Louis rubs, not the dry-rub kind at all for those who want dry rub. But I did see a dry-rub option the menu. I got the house sauce. My mom had the baby back ribs and they were awesome. The Mac and cheese was delicious. The string beans were southern style/ very boiled but flavorful. The beans were pretty sweet and mapley. The banana pudding was INSANELY good. It was pure bananas, nilla cookie, and cream all blended up. Tasted so natural! unlike a lot of the mass produced banana puddings by chain spots that use a mix from a giant tub. It’s better than Magnolia Bakery. Seriously. My mom also loved the sweet tea – as the ice melted it became the perfect sweetness. The french fries could definitely be better, they weren’t great. But, the beverages are in huge glasses for those who like a lot to drink
Our server Karina was also very nice, funny, and conversational. Overall, based on the ribs, sides, and stellar desert this was an amazing BBQ restaurant. I do want to try the brisket in the future. Compliments to the chefs at this joint!
