We had a very nice dinner at Sonny’s Barbecue. The atmosphere is casual and fun. They feature a full service cocktail bar at this location with bar seating. My barbecue brisket platter was delicious and my wife enjoyed her pulled pork platter. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were completely satisfied with our visit and will return in the future.

This was my first time eating at a Sonny’s BBQ restaurant. Our waitress, named Mellissa, was perfect and swift with answers to all of our questions regarding menu items, drink items from the bar, as well as handling our special requests with our food orders. We never had an empty glass, food was served exactly as requested, and she checked on us like a seasoned pro! It was when I complemented her superior service at the end of the meal she revealed that she had only been working there for a few weeks!! The level of service for the time on the job blew me away! So short story long if you want AMAZING BBQ with a ridiculous amount of side options, stellar drinks with matched service, in a laid back environment for a more than reasonable price, ( less than $17 a person) then YOU NEED TO STOP BY THE 9th Ave Sonnys location! THANK YOU MELLISSA FOR MAKING OUR FIRST TIME THERE A BOOKMARKED LOCATION FOR US ON GOOGLE MAPS AND A “WILL RETURN” EVERYTIME WE ROLL INTO TOWN!!

We came here back in November for my boyfriend’s great-grandpa’s birthday. Our waitress was very polite and patient with our group, as there were a lot of us. Food was VERY good!! Will definitely come back next time we’re visiting.

Invited for lunch at a private event. It was similar to a catered set-up. The food consisted of baked beans, barbecued chicken, potato salad and pulled pork. Sweet tea was ice cold.
Everything was delicious and the leftovers were brought home for another meal. We’re transplants from Hawaii where we don’t have decent barbecue like this.

The food here is always good. For a family of five, the cost is much better than most places. Plus, you get a good amount of food. I gave the atmosphere three stars because it was so quiet in there. No music and the tv was silent. You could hear what each table was talking about.

They were very busy on Sunday at noon and the staff was hustling trying to get everyone seated and served. Very friendly and accommodating. The orders came out hot and everything tasted good. Large glasses of tea and our waitress kept them full. Multiple choices of barbecue sauce on the table and paper towels to clean up.

Building is neat and clean. Service was good. Food was okay. I ordered to go the sweet & smoky ribs.. The ribs were a little over cooked and dry not very tender. It wasn’t bad, but average. I do enjoy their cornbread and the sweet potato was good. To go order came with sweet bbq sauce packets and lots of napkins.,They have a drive thru to order and the line moved quickly. Drive thru person was polite and friendly.

Nicole was a wonderful server. She was quick, efficient, brought things before we asked, kept refills and offered extra ways to make our experience with kids better and easier. The food was quick and so, so good. Our first time dining in! We always order to go. Thank you for the experience!
