We had a fantastic lunch at Sonny’s BBQ in Concord. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you stop in for good barbecue.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed and taken care of, which goes a long way when you’re grabbing a meal during a busy day.
A great stop for tasty BBQ and outstanding service. I’d happily return.

I am in charlotte for a Cowboys / Panthers game on Sunday. Went for a drive ended up in concord and and found Sunnys. I walked in and was immediately welcomed and I even asked for Dodger game to be put on the screen which was accommodated immediately. Then Alex P. Came over and gave me the low down with her favorite selections and what to get on the side. Could not have been a more perfect meal. Ribs, smoked pork, brisket, with beans, Mac n cheese, and garlic bread. The sauce was tasty but the meat was smoked perfect. Tender and juicy with a flavor all on its own. Not to mention. Alex checked up on me often for updates and refills. Being so far from Calif it felt very homie in there. I noticed about 20 people came in and they all seemed to know everyone’s name. And those that they didn’t know were helped out instantly . What a wonderful staff and thank you so much all. Especially Alex even sent me out with some freshly made donut holes.I am so fat and happy. Thanks again and we’ll done by all….oh, and as I said in there, my compliments to the chef / smoke master….

My mother, sisters and I came in to have dinner while visiting Concord from out of town wanting to try something local to the area. We were sat with Destiny and she instantly was eager to answer all of our questions and giving us fabulous suggestions. She was patient, kind, and equally attentive. You can’t put a price on that kind of quality service! We were so pleased and would recommend in a heartbeat!

Been eating Sonny’s for nearly 35 years. This was my first visit eating all you can eat ribs, I’ve done this 50 times at least, where the waiter- a guy, actually had my reorders there in less than 2 minutes. Our previous visit, the waitress did not get back to me for the first reorder until 30 minutes later. She was busy with over 30 customers—-but management should know better with other servers only have 8-12 patrons. I dinged her tip down to 15% instead of my normal 20%. Many would have left her nothing.

I think I went wrong with ordering online and picking it up in drive thru. My food was cold undercooked and not tasty at all.
The photos from other reviewers is what drew my attention to the restaurant. I waited in the drive thru line over 10 minutes with only 1 vehicle ahead of me. I am in town for a conference and we wanted some BBQ and Sonny’s did not disappoint. Everyone in our party loved their food and our server, Alex D., was friendly and attentive. This is the type of place you leave with a full belly, happy heart, and dessert to take home. Highly recommended!

Good restaurant if you want something to eat quickly. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is comfortably furnished. It has a bit of a sports bar flair. The food and drinks were fine. Good quality and well prepared. There is plenty of parking space. Restaurant is located near the interstate.
