Sonny’s Astoria is all about bold, scratch-made comfort food. Hand-tossed pizzas, Southern-inspired favorites like hot grinder sandwiches and chicken and waffle, plus crave-worthy specials made with love and quality ingredients.
While dine-in is no longer available in the café, our pickup window is now open. Guests 21 and over are welcome to enjoy Sonny’s food for dine-in at our bar next door. You can also order through our online ordering portal for pick-up or use DoorDash for pick-up and delivery. Outdoor seating will be available, weather permitting.
However you get it, hot, melty, and packed with flavor, Sonny’s is here to feed you right!

We ordered the two vegan grinder sandwiches while we were visiting Astoria. Super fresh and tasty. Loved the Dutch Crunch bread. And, service was super friendly.

Connected to the Xandria bar. This is a small diner area, could do with some music. There was only the one guy manning both the bar and restaurant, and he did a pretty good job about it. Took about 30 minutes to get our food, aside from drinks and the appetizer, and the crust was phenomenal. It leans towards the yeasty and crunchy side.
The Caprese salad was okay. Some regular quality ingredients.
The Hawaiian was delicious. Lighter on the meat and cheese toppings, I wish there was more.
The Pesto was apt to its name. Not my personal favorite but others in my party loved it.
Cheese stuff crust wasn’t really worth it— very expensive and only adds a tiny amount of flavor as it’s outshined by the dough.
Peachy (Keen?) Mocktail – super strong sweet and sour with a fructose tasting peach syrup. Strong sweetness to it and would try something else next time.

Great place, friendly staff! It’s a pizza parlor attached to a bar, where they were having Karoake night, so it was fun hearing the other patrons while sitting in the parlor. Even though it was only one server for the bar and parlor, I still received quick service, and the pizza tasted great. Highly recommend!

We have been on the hunt for good pizza on the west coast. We’re full-time RVers and originally from the East so we’ve tried a lot along the way. I’m vegan so it’s even tougher but sauce is always so key for me. My guy is just a pizza snob and hard to please. Sonny’s was the absolute perfect mix of excellent food, service and atmosphere. I ordered the Vegan Pizza as it was (light on the vegan cheese) and he had the Margharita. We also did pretzel bites. On the other side of the wall was a bar where you can order drinks and food too. This was just an all around great experience, was the first time in a minute we didn’t feel sick about the money we spent eating out vs value and one hell of a representation of the love and openness of an invaluable LGBTQ+ owned business. Worth your time and money! Well done!

Ordered a pizza online half veg, half veg/meat, and a stuffed crust. Arrived and found out nobody had started our order. Then we got a pizza with half only meat, half meat/veg, no stuffed crust. Asked for it to be remade since one of us is vegetarian. He remade it with 2/3 meat/veg, 1/3 veg, missing basil off the entire pizza, and half the pizza has no sauce or cheese. On top of that, there were no napkins so we had to take paper towel from the bathroom and we ordered online so we prepaid our tip… very disappointing experience. If you’re too busy to serve food then close the kitchen.

Amazing pizza! High quality ingredients, amazing staff. What more could you ask for, my favorite Hawaiian pizza on the Oregon coast!

As others have said, the dough, sauce, and pizza ingredients are outstanding. It’s a place that clearly prioritizes quality. However, what I wanted to write about was the service. I was more than an hour late in picking up my order due to circumstances beyond my control, and they made sure to hold my order past their close time, and keep it as fresh as possible. This was beyond my expectations, and very much appreciated!!

Lisa at Brut (also incredible) told us this was the best pizza in Astoria and she was absolutely correct. The crust was light on the inside, crunchy on the exterior. The cheese was perfectly melted and the flavor profile was significantly more complex than your average chain pizza. (We got the pepperoni and the Hawaiian). Great value for the cost; you can tell they use quality ingredients!

My wife and I were looking for some casual pizza after getting beers at Buoy and decided to try this since it was 100 feet away. We were not expecting how amazing this pizza is. I can’t get over how good the dough, crust, and taste were. Like some of the other reviewers here I don’t really write reviews but I felt compelled to write a review because of how good this experience was.

I travel through Astoria once or twice a week for work and had a local highly recommend to try out this joint. Without a doubt, this has been the best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life even after visiting half the country and trying this and that. I NEVER write reviews but this pizza had me compelled to spread the word about this amazing restaurant. The whole experience was memorable and I’m definitely making this my go to pizza joint anytime I’m in Astoria.
Thanks for the great pizza guys!
