Our waitress was really nice and did a great job! The food was alright, it wasn’t bad or anything just lacked a little seasoning (we just added salt and it was fine). Overall decent prices and the atmosphere was nice!! It does get a little chilly (we sat near the window and it’s December) so if you get cold easy maybe bring a jacket just in case!

The lady who serviced my family was wonderful absolutely loved her now I did not like my liver and onions but over all my family was happy with their orders and I can say chicken is seasoned to the tea so yes I do recommend for those who are new to the area like we are visiting.

Sonny Boy has potential, but my experience was mixed. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were polite, but the food didn’t quite meet expectations. A few dishes lacked seasoning and arrived cooler than they should have. Service was a bit slow even though the place wasn’t too busy.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad visit — just not as impressive as I hoped for the price. With a bit more consistency and attention to detail, this spot could easily earn higher marks next time.

I ate at Sonny Boy Family Restaurant, Bridgeport OH on Sunday Dec 15th, 2024. I got spaghetti with meat sauce. It was outstandingly delicious! I brought some spaghetti home I reheated some last night and the rest today, let me tell you it tasted delicious even with reheating it.
I would highly recommend eating at Sonny Boy’s. Every meal that I have eaten there has been very, very delicious!!!
Please stop at Sonny Boys and give them a try. Very clean restaurant, very friendly workers and as I said the food is delicious!!!
Let me add this, I am a very picky eater. If I don’t like something I will let the waitress know and I will send it back.

This is one of those hidden gems that you stumble across. Cool little dinner. The staff are a great group of friendly people. The food is tasty. The amount of food is large and the price is one that you can eat out and not empty your pocket. I could not open my mouth wide enough to bite the sandwich.

My home fries were so mushy a 6 month old baby could have ate them. Finished drinking my orange juice and the cup still had dried milk in the bottom of it. There was a hair is my eggs. She took the eggs back and as you can see in the picture they weren’t cooked all the way. The coffee tasted burnt. A manager was requested but never showed up to the table. No music was on. When Joe ran this place before he passed it was SO MUCH better. Not sure who is running it now but boy has it gone down hill. VERY DISAPPOINTED Terrible and not the waitresses fault.

This place is great! We took my mother there when we were visiting since it was my grandparents’ favorite restaurant. It’s an authentically old school diner, unlike the many faux pretend old diners. There was a sign on the wall saying you could get 2 eggs, home fries, and ham or sausage for $3.99. Try getting those prices in 2021. We didn’t get that, but the prices were still a bargain. And it was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Food had to have been prepared by someone who has never cooked a day in their life. Absolute trash. Completely dead. Server couldn’t even even greet us promptly. Tried a couple bites and just left after watching server twirl their hair and grab someone else’s food with out washing their hands. Just a few tables and still waited 30 plus minutes for soggy home fries and sausage gravy with gravy that had to have been prepared the day before. Never again. Save your money where we wasted ours.

Great little spot in the middle of nowhere USA. Food was outstanding! Home cooking feel, and priced ridiculously low. Reminds me of the diners back home! Omellette was great, homefries with onions were good. Biscuits and gravy hit the spot! Crazy locals are a joy to listen too!
