We go here at least once a year for birthday celebrations. The place is accommodating, the chefs are very friendly and fun, and the food is always delicious. Drinks are good, too!

Were there to celebrate a birthday with a large group of 11. Had a reservation and got us in as soon as everyone arrived. Our waiter and the cook for hibachi were both super friendly and took care of us. Food was very good. Even the steak was tender, which it usually isn’t for hibachi.

Great sushi and atmosphere. Presentation and ingredients in rolls is quite good and menu is pretty long with lots of options.
Really the best sushi I’ve had anywhere. They used a generous portion of fish and all the other ingredients like avocado and cucumber are fresh. The fish is flown in in ice instead of frozen like any other place you’ll get sushi around and it makes the difference.
Also great hibachi with grill side seating but plan on making a reservation for that.

I dont bother taking time to review places… unless it was really bad and i felt compelled to keeo others from making the same mistake. I have not been here in a few years but I wonder if I have become a sushi snob and the midwest standard is just sad.
The restaurant does both Hibachi and regular sushi. We wanted sushi so we were by the sushi bar. Japanese cuisine is supposed to be about presentation and flavor. This was neither. I order the sashimi appetizer, shrimp & vegetable tempura, and fancy rainbow roll. My tempura came out in a plastic red basket. PLASTIC. The dipping sauce was a funny red sweet and sour sauce. The tempura was warm, but it lack the light fluffiness. My sashimi was somewhat arranged in a plastic tray. The only thing that barely passed was rainbow roll.
Note: I did try asking for something else for my tempura. The waitress brought me a mustard base sauce and BBQ type of sauce… maybe from the hibachi side. Whatever happen to classic tentsuyu sauce made with dashi, mirin, soy sauce, and grated daikon. Its tempura… not chicken nuggets.
Hubby had the salmon lover and 2 white tuna fish nigiri. Both were equally unimpressive. The nigiri was once again served in a plastic tray. The salmon lover arranged in a curved plate haphazardly. It could have been from Sam’s or the chinese buffet. The bill came out to be $85… and was an experience I rather forget. Upside, neither of us got food poisoning.
Needless to say, I won’t be back. The food was not worth the calories nor the money. Maybe better luck at Wasabi?

By far the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The chef was amazing. He was energetic, hilarious, and just made everyone laugh and smile the entire time. He would squirt the kids with a water gun when they weren’t looking and tell them it was a leak in the ceiling lol. He did all the cool tricks and stuff: throwing food into our mouths, doing tricks with the spatulas, using one to flip and egg around and up into his chefs hat, etc. He was just super fun. Plus, the food was PHENOMENAL. Best Asian food I’ve had in my life, no joke. I got the steak and chicken with extra fried rice. Absolutely divine. Plus, the atmosphere was beautiful and everything was neat and very clean. We also had a pretty large group and eveyone was tended to quickly. There’s also a ton of options to choose from on the menu. Personally, I’m not a fan of sushi, so I got the steak and chicken (which as previously mentioned was some of the best I’ve ever had), but they have a ton of sushi options, vegetatian options, and options for meat lovers like myself lol. Plus, some good alcoholic beverage options, as well. 10/10 would recommend.

We were craving sushi yesterday and drove a pretty good distance out of our way just to go here, as always service was way above and beyond, our server Anna seemed genuinely happy to be there and made the experience that much better. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Here is the review for Kyoto with pictures attached. We ordered chicken hibachi veggie hibachi and salmon hibachi. We informed them that we did have a shellfish allergy as well. They’re very clean very excited participated well with the baby in the table and made her feel welcome. The food was phenomenal and definitely filled us up.
This is most certainly the place that everybody goes for birthdays and anniversaries around here. So if you’re looking for a good spot to celebrate something or a fun date night this is a great place for friends and family.
