Found this place at the last minute. Service was great, food was excellent. The beef burger was exactly how I like it and tasted magnificent. Hubby had beef brisket and he said it was superb. I did have a pudding as I wanted to try Key Lime Pie, first time having it and it was delicious, now my new favourite pudding, but guessing nowhere will be as good as this one. Hopefully some day we can get back. Thank you and keep up the great work…

While cruising through Gardnerville, we spotted Sonneys BBQ Shake and decided to stop. The wife was surprised to see beef ribs on the menu and ordered a combo plate with beef rib and brisket. She really enjoyed the ribs. A good bark with just a hint of spicy heat. The brisket looked great.

Excellent bar-b-que! The ribs in particular were very good and so was my Brisket sandwich. For sides, garlic mashed potatoes and sweet potatoe fries were great. The inside decor was very well done, very rustic and Western. We will definitely be back!

Passed through on our way back to Reno and it will be a regular stop for us going forward. The brisket was the best I’ve had outside my own back yard. It was truly smoked, and to perfection and service was GREAT.

We stopped in here for a late lunch when heading home from Lake Tahoe. We had the “big” pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket salad and pig wings. The pulled pork and beef brisket were tender. I had the spicy ranch with the salad, which was delicious. They put the dressing on in the side, which was perfect because I didn’t need much with the tender brisket and other items in the salad. The star of the show was the pig wings appetizer. You get two wings on a bed of cole slaw. The meat is so tender, you really don’t even need to chew. It practically melts in your mouth. The flavoring is smoky and sweet and a perfect combination. You really need to order the pig wings when you go!

Absolutely delicious!!!! Best cheese grits and collards I’ve had since leaving Louisiana!!!! The BBQ is phenomenal! The brisket has a thick delicious bark, and soooooo juicy!!!
