I’m pretty disappointed with my experience at Sonic tonight (March 5th around 9 PM). I ordered a large milkshake that cost almost $8. The advertisement shows the shake with whipped cream — which is actually my son’s favorite part — but when I got it, there was little to no whipped cream at all. When I asked the employee about it, she told me it was their “policy.” I find that hard to believe, especially since the shake comes with a dome lid and the photos on Sonic’s website clearly show it topped with whipped cream — actually with more whipped cream than what I received.

The fries were also extremely salty to the point they were hard to eat.

Another issue was with paying. The employee (a heavyset girl working the window) came to my car to get my card. I asked if I could use tap-to-pay and she said “not tonight.” She then took my card inside for about 10 minutes, which made me uncomfortable. She also wasn’t very friendly, and unfortunately I didn’t catch her name.

After I got home to Arlington and turned my light on to take a drink of the milkshake, I noticed a long hair in it. My hair is less than an inch long, so it definitely wasn’t mine.

What makes this more frustrating is that I actually got a milkshake from the same location the night before, and that experience was better. But tonight was a big letdown. Between the missing whipped cream, overly salty fries, unfriendly service, my card being taken inside for a long time, and finding a hair in my shake, it was really disappointing.

One last thing that didn’t make sense: they claimed whipped cream was against policy, yet they gave me 15+ ketchup and mustard packets for one small fry.

Overall, not a good experience tonight and definitely not what I expect when paying nearly $8 for a milkshake.

I’ve eaten at this location a few times. The milkshakes are always delicious and they accommodated a late night craving for banana and chocolate together.
Unfortunately, the burgers have been okay to meh. The last one I got was flat and watery.

I don’t understand how someone could send this garbage with a customer. I bought 2 crispy chicken sandwiches($6.19 each) and a large order of mozzarella sticks($6.59). The lady operating the drive thru was pleasant as she took my order, I pulled around and waited behind the car that was actively at the window. A while later the employee came out to me for me to pay. I didn’t think much of it at the time so I handed my card over, she took it inside and processed it and brought me back my receipt. I then waited for 5 mins before the car in front of me received their order. Once I got to the window I waited, and waited, and waited! For close to 20 mins at a “fast food” restaurant. Now I understand why they want to take your payment before you get to the window. You’ve already paid and now forced to stay for this garbage quality food. I’ve been to other sonic locations throughout the country and they were much better. There’s no reason it took upwards of 20 mins to get my food at this low quality. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Corporate needs to shut down this franchised location as they’re clearly not up to company standards.

I got some chili tots the same way I have gotten it probably 5-10 times from the Marysville location every time it’s pretty loaded and this time it didn’t even fill the bottom. Not something crazy just a bit irritating

Thin patties of anything meat, shredded lettuce, very salty. Crinkle fries were crispy outside soft inside and hot and perfectly salted. Watertown were crunchy outside but cold so didn’t eat many. Nice crushed ice, bitable!! Mossarella sticks are decent but the marinara sauce is robust and sweet not ideal.

This place is BAD how it’s till open I’m am unsure… went there for lunch on Sunday and parked at one of the parking areas. Decided on what I wanted and hit the red button as instructed, almost 20 MINUTES and NO ONE came out. Mind you I was the only car at the time, I know people where working because I drove in and saw three people talking inside and when I drove off they where in the same spot. There was no sign saying they where closed or maybe the machines did not work and we needed to use the drive threw. This place needs to close someone ain’t doing their job right.

A good thing that sonic has going for it is the unique customer experience of ordering at a drive in and eating in the car. They also have a large menu which helps the more picky eaters, or those who like to try new things. We had fast service, and the food was hot. My wife enjoyed her honey BBQ popcorn chicken, although the sauce was lazily tossed and the picture clearly shows that some pieces of chicken had no sauce on them. Her tater tots were crispy and salty. She got the grape slushy with nerds. She was dissatisfied that nerds were the only candy option available and the drink was too sweet for her to finish, but it was good while it lasted. I got the double bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese tots. The cheeseburger was less than desirable, probably the worst fast food burger around. I asked for extra ketchup and got basically none on there. The bun was tough and the burger / bacon was dry. The chili cheese tots were predictably soggy but had a good chili flavor and a nice proportion of cheese. You can’t really mess up tater tots, so I don’t give them extra credit for being satisfactory. My cherry limeade was quite refreshing. Overall, sonic is a great choice if you want a special drink or if you want a change from a DQ blizzard, but their hot food holds them back from getting a repeat visit.

First time visiting from Canada and the customer service I received from this young lady was magnificent. Didn’t realize the stalls weren’t open, but drive-thru was so I got directed over there and ordered promptly. The food was hot and tasty and overall experience was great.

Just your average burger place. Nothing special about my chicken tenders here, but not the worst either. The tater tots are good.
