If me returning to a sonic dependent on my experience at this one, I would forever boycott sonic.
I ordered in advance on the mobile app only to sit there longer than most people. I saw drive up in order. I only ordered a mini M&M ice cream, and a small fry. Waited on the order for nearly 25 minutes, then the ice cream was brought out to me nearly in liquid form, Almost completely melted. The Fries were old and cold. When the lady brought the items to my vehicle, I immediately saw the ice cream was melted and asked her. Would she please remake the ice cream and we would deal with the cold fries and she told me that she had to go take care of some other people first just hold onto the ice cream. She’ll have to come back Turned around and scurried away. After waiting for 10 minutes and now the ice cream is completely melted she walked by my vehicle, several times attending to other customers and never would look my way as I was waving to get her attention to see how much longer I’d have to wait. We threw the ice cream and the fries Away and left. A waste of money and a waste of time.
The facility and parking lot looks nearly brand new and is beautiful, definitely is not the representation of the service and the quality of food received.

Edit: I’m adding another horrible terrible review. Do not buy anything that has to do with the salted caramel bites. They are nothing but dry nuggets that are smaller than quarters and they didn’t put any sugar on them and then refuse to bring sugar out.

They’re not go to the sonic the screens never work. The orders are never right and we literally just waited 25 minutes for food then on top of that when we got the food, it was not right and not one person would answer the button that I was pressing on the screen, even though the screen didn’t work, the button did earlier now no one will answer, and I drove around to the drive-through screen, and no one would come to the window. Owner sucks at running a proper franchise

Would love to give a good review.. but unfortunately I can’t!! Parked at 11:40. Was in middle of ordering food, and they lost power. Cool, not their problem. Waited and their system came back up. Ordered at 11:50…
12:15.. No food. Watch 6 people go through drive-thru.
12:20.. no Food. And one of the girls, I guess her bf came up? She keeps coming in and out the building to his car.
( if yalls struggling… maybe you should actually WORK!!)
12:24. I pushed the red button. Women apologized and said they are working to get the order out quickly.

12:30… still no food, meanwhile people are driving up through drive-thru and getting food and people next to me as well.

12:40 . No food. I pulled off.

I want corporate to call me!!

This is supposed to be a fast food restraunt. Nothing about this restraunt is fast.

I can’t give zero stars or I would have. I drove through Haughton after a long trip from Galveston. Stopped for a quick drink. Pulled up to the stall, only a couple other cars were there, ordered on the app, sat in the stall for 20 minutes waiting for a Dr Pepper. I saw the car hop come out 1 time in that time frame. At this point the stalls are full and i tried to call the store 3 times with no answer. No one was answering at the drive thru either. I couldn’t wait any longer and had to leave after waiting for 1 drink. So I paid and wasted my time for nothing. I haven’t been able to get a refund either.

I ordered two bacon breakfast burritos and got home and while eating one of them I discovered it didn’t have any bacon in it at all! Opened the other one that was for the next day and it didn’t have any bacon in it either! What is going on here? I called to tell them and it says “No one is available to take your call.” Really? I try to support local businesses but I guess I’ll have to try another location.

The food is pretty good, but they usually forget the sauce you ordered. This can be rough if were on the road and not going home. The staff has always been super friendly and I dont think we have had a bad experience with them yet.

This location is really hit or miss so i usually avoid and go to hwy 80 if i really want sonic. Tonight i thought I’d give it a shot and after 40 minutes i got a burger that looks like it got punched and 4 onion rings instead of mozzarella sticks.

How much do i have to tip just to get my order correct? If there was a Sonic that needed robots it would be this one.

Order at your own risk. We ordered one Large chocolate shake with double extra chocolate and one Medium cherry slush with extra syrup flavor. The cherry slush was fine. The shake tasted like vanilla. It was near closing when we arrived. I was not able to test or taste the shake before closing. I tried the shake after getting ice across the street. It was then I noticed, no chocolate flavor and tasted like vanilla. I kept saying to myself that it was probably at the bottom or not mixed well. I stopped drinking it when we realized no chocolate flavor. Vanilla flavor. I took a photo and tried my best to move the whip cream over. There is light tan color which I presume is some chocolate. I’ve had this problem before, so that is why I specify double chocolate flavor or syrup. We were passing through on our way to Texas, and the restaurant was closed by the time we got our ice. I feel disappointed and cheated. I don’t know why they did this. Was very specific on the add on’s. I tried to find another sonic to buy a replacement, but they were closed along I 20.

I do alot of road trips and I have been to quite a few sonics that get it right, but this was a fail for my drink. Not sure if this was the we want to get out of here attitude or what. On top of that I gave a $2 cash tip to the person who took the order and brought the drinks out. That was over a 20% of the bill. Wondering if that was punishment for not having a tip with the credit card payment? And thinking I was cheap or something.

If you check the video. We were the folks in the white Ford with ca.per shell. I also had to get out and go to the window since I am hearing impaired. It was hard to hear the person on the speaker.

The young man named Collin that was working 9/12/25 at around 4:30 needs a raise! Not only was he taking orders, he was literally running to get orders out to everyone by himself. They were clearly very understaffed but yet he was doing his absolute best and he was very courteous. Food wasn’t the greatest but I give 5 stars just based on this one employee.
