Came in on 11/24/2025 at 750pm. We ordered two blasts. One was a chocolate chip cookie dough. The other one was a Butterfinger. They put a spoonful of topping on top of ice cream and that was literally what we were given. It wasn’t blended together at all. Definitely not worth the money we spent.

This location is hit or miss with me. If the service is good, the food is meh. If the food is good, the service is meh.
Update: I’m convinced this is the worst Sonic in the state of Kansas. I hadn’t been here since I made this original edit a year ago, and it’s gotten worse. My order was wrong, the food was cold, the car hop laughed when I said it was wrong….$35 for 2 meals, and it’s just garbage. The owners need to hire people who give a damn about their job.
Update 4/19/2025: Rude customer service from the headset. I simply said she was almost inaudible and she got noticeably agitated. We got our 2 Blasts which were pretty much 2 cups of melted ice cream and left. This place is the worst and I’ll drive to Andover before I’ll ever come back to this location which is less than a 5 minute drive from my house.

Derby local spot, way understaffed for a Sunday nfl day. Server was trying hard, but had no help, brought the wrong wings, the wrong amount, and late, after all the others at the table had thier food. Came prepared with lots of excuses. Prob skip it next time I’m invited

Ordered a Smash Burger and only got half a bun. You can see the cheese on the top of the box lid. So how can you box a burger and see that it is missing half of the bun. Then I tried to call and line was continuously busy.

Took forever and it wasn’t close to closing time and they weren’t busy I think there was only 1 other vehicles in the parking lot. And all I ordered was Tator tots and a shake. Also I decided to order through the app when I got there because they have false advertising on the app that says that you get a half price slushes and shakes on the app only however I decided to order a or slush in the discount would not apply to the app so I had to back up and switch it to a shake which it didn’t apply to the discount there so I wasn’t very happy with that as well trying to save a few dollars I’d already expensive out to eat fast food restaurants

I am not one to complain often, but Augusta, KS Sonic just does not do a good job, and im not sure why I try to go there anymore? These are the problems that happen just about every order.
1. I quit ordering ANY ice in a drink because if you put down easy ice that is almost a guarantee that you will have so much ice in your cup that you can’t fit your straw. Even when I’ve requested a correction, their easy ice is about double any other sonic equal to regular ice at any other Wichita location. They just do not want to give you less ice. So if I have to be to that location I’ve taken to asking for no ice and then a separate cup of ice and pour from the no ice. The crazy thing is that I don’t even ask for easy ice at the other locations because they aren’t ice pushers and make it perfect.
2. If you put more than 1 flavor down as an add in you will still only receive 1 flavor. I like 1-2 flavors plus sometimes sweet creme. They won’t put sweet creme in. When I tell them they didn’t add the sweet creme they say it wasn’t in the order. Then they come out look at my receipt, take it back in to add. It’s very frustrating. And when my daughter picks up my drink she forgets to look (just happened) and we live miles from town so I waste 60- 90 cents over and over.
3. My whole family knows that if it is the Augusta Sonic check your bag. They just don’t give everything, hardly ever. We’re missing a fry or a burger. It’s ok if we check while they’re and awful if we forget before we get home. Somebody just goes without.
We will often choose to skip local and drive to Andover where they are cheerful and always do it right.

They said it was 1.30 up charge for the onion rings. One meal they charged 1.50 and my other meal they charged 1.60. Then gave me 2 little time y pieces of bacon on my number 6. We ordered a #6 &# 7. The worst ever! How sad.
