After being an after work staple of mine from about April to October of 2025 consistent good food, good service. November through January of 2026 I have had more instances of poor service and questionable food more times than all of the previous 6 months. Today’s result leads me to plan to take a few month break from this location. Fast food is way to overpriced to not be fast, and consistently made. Good luck to the poor manager finding people that actually want to work… Uninstalled the app to prevent temptation, I already actively avoid the 37th and Topeka location that used to be my go to lunch spot until…

I normally love this location. Unfortunately the app wasn’t working so I did order at a stall. We were ready to order and I push the red button she says order when you’re ready… Wait? Huh? I pressed the red button because I’m ready to order. I had asked to add chili to my sonic cheeseburger which I’m aware that it’s an extra .99 she says “Chili on a burger?”

I get all the way home to something I’ve never seen before. Whoa, wait, did I just get chili juice? If I’m paying nearly $11 for a meal please don’t shortchange me. I wouldn’t do it to you. I’m serious about my food. I love Sonic even worked at Sonic but this I don’t accept as a loving faithful customer.

This is how it should be. The burgers had better taste and texture than most Sonics I visit. The person working the window today was lively and friendly. Everything was right; I never expected to give 5 stars for fast food, but here we are.

The server was great, however, we ordered two strawberry cream slushes and one strawberry shortcake, none of which came labeled, and all three were just strawberry cream. We also asked for marinara sauce and got ranch instead.

The lady who took my order continually rushed me and misunderstood my order which ended up with it being messed up and me repeating it 3 times (which can happen but if you can’t hear me say something). Dylan, greeted me and fixed the issues with professionalism.

Morning and afternoon food is fresh however evenings the food is never fresh and always old. I can’t even begin how many times I’ve went here after 6 and my family’s food was trash. Tonight it was even worse than usual the chicken was so old it was actually discolored and the mot sticks so old they were hard, soggy fries. If I ever get a sandwich or chicken in that condition again I’ll report it to the health department absolutely disgusting. The car hop was very nice and did a great job but the person preparing the food and whoever is in charge at night definitely need some training.

Me, my girlfriend and her kids got there figured out what we all wanted, hit the button and go figure the speaker didn’t work so the kid came out to see why we didn’t order then said “that one hasn’t been working correctly” and then asked if we had a big order or small order, I said it was a big order, instead of going to another speaker he took 5 minutes to go in and get a pen and paper. I told him the order little bit by little bit so he could write it all down. We get our food, and we’re missing food and got a wrong drink, so I pull back up to a speaker that works and explained everything. Another kid comes out, I explain, he says they can’t find the ticket for our order, and questioned if we got our food that day because we didn’t get the receipt from the girl that brought out the food, but he goes back in, comes back takes the food and drinks inside because the manager wanted to make the food and everything fresh, then proceeds to bring out the same food that was taken in, and the same drinks. He says that they’re making the missing food, but the kid that took the order didn’t write down what was missing because I didn’t say that part of the order, which obviously wasn’t true, and wrote down the wrong drink because that’s what I said, told us we were going to have to pay for what was missing or wrong, and after I explained that I had better things to do than to be picking arguments about missing food on a order he understood, but we finally got what was missing including the drink, and I asked how much I owed he said he told me he never said I had to pay, but every employee was mean mugging us as they came out to deliver orders, definitely don’t plan to go to that location again if I go back to Sonic again.
