I never complained but this 4th Street location needs help. I visited this location twice this week, both times were not good. The first visit was either Monday or Tuesday between 3:30pm, 3:40pm. I placed an order for the Alaskan fish sandwich, the young lady that took my order said it would be right out but after 15-20 minutes nothing came out. I pressed the red button again and come to find out the order wasn’t even put in. How did that happen? My visit today, I was on the opposite side but maybe 3 stalls from the back/end. Placed an order for chicken bites. The card swipe didn’t work, it never works because the same girl comes out telling me how much my order is. Like always I give her my card to take inside to swipe but this time she comes out and says the card is not authorized, that has never happened with my CashApp card. I didn’t want to break the 100 bill had and I had already eaten a few of the chicken bites, so I just handed the food back for her to throw away. Half of the ordering stalls don’t work, the buttons don’t work, the swipe card machines don’t work and employees need to make sure they aren’t wasting customer time and money by actually putting in the order and knowing how to swipe a card effectively.

I used to come to this Sonic regularly when I lived in the area. It’s not how I remember it being, but perhaps I’m just nostalgic. In either case, this was *not* a good visit. We ordered a few items and each one tasted off. The oil tasted old and burnt, and the food arrived barely warm, seemingly not fresh at all. How can you have soggy, soft, cold tater tots and hard as a rock onion rings in the same order?… You cant really tell in the picture, but the sandwich was dripping from the condiments, I cant imagine how it would have been if I had asked for extra sauce. Our drinks were also melted, and the slushy arrived and looked like vomit. My favorite drink is the twisted flamingo but that was also somehow gross.

Everybody needs a Sonic in their life. You and your friends & coworkers should have a group text where everyone shares their favorite Sonic order, because nothing says “you’re my bestie” or “you’re a cool coworker” like bringing them their favorite Sonic treat. That’s what I think. Sonic is a love language, and this location is my favorite. Shine on, Sonic on Govt Street! Shine on!

Hands down the WORST sonic in the country. Slow service every time and the food is terrible. Went to USM for multiple years and everytime I go it’s worse and worse. I got a foot long coney and they GAVE ME 2 HOTDOGS IN A FOOTLONG BUN. I asked for light mustard and it’s DROWNED in mustard. Please avoid at all cost unless you’re ready for a 20 minute wait and trash meal. Manager and cooks need to be fired or go through remediation.

Service is terrible. If you don’t have a hour plus to wait on your food don’t go. Employees very unprofessional. They need a whole new team. I waited 10 minutes just for them to take my order and I am still waiting 45 minutes later and they will no longer respond to button.

A year ago I would’ve driven to 2 different Sonic locations because the wait time for your order was so long(I waited 45 minutes once for a Rt 44 drink) but something has definitely changed and I’ll be coming back more often. Maybe it’s staffing or management changes but this place has really turned my frown upside down the last 2 times I’ve chosen to go here.

Never left a Google review before, but this was the WORST experience with Sonic, so I had to. Looks on par with other reviews though. I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for my food, never came. So I went inside to see what was happening. Not only was it dirty and gross inside, but they told me they tried to bring the order out but nobody was there. I told them I’d been sitting in the same stall for 30 minutes waiting, so she must have come to the wrong stall. She told me I was wrong, but I know I was in the right stall because when I typed the stall number in on the app, my name popped up on the screen. Anyways, they gave me the order, but I had to carry it all in my arms, and she didn’t get me a drink carrier because she “didn’t know how to put them together.” So I carried my cold food and melted ice cream to my car, only to realize they forgot a shake. So I went back inside for it, and was told to wait in my car and she’d bring it out to me. It took another 10 minutes, but she eventually found me, still in the same stall I’d been sitting in for getting close to an hour. Funny enough, there’s a sign inside the store that says the store’s goal is to get items out in less than 4 minutes… And by the way, this is the third time I’ve had something like this happen at this Sonic. The other locations around town do better, but this one is always the same. So I’m not coming back here.

Ordered on the app which said food would be ready at 1:25 but I did not receive my items till 1:55. I wouldn’t recommend ordering online at this location the other Sonic has better turnaround times.

I decided to come here on my lunch break because I didn’t have very long and I love Sonic. They weren’t very busy. I was one of only probably 5 cars when I arrived at 11:55.
I ordered a corndog, a small order of mozzarella sticks, and a mini cherry limeade. I paid with my card as soon as i finished ordering. At 12:25, when I’d been waiting for 30 minutes, I pressed the button to call back and make sure my order hadn’t been lost. I was told they were short handed and my order would be right out.
At 12:45, after waiting for 50 minutes, I still had not received my order. Everyone around me had gotten their food and left. If I hadn’t paid with my card, I would have already left. I called back and asked them to please refund me because I had to get back to work. I was told someone would be right out. A young guy came up to my car and told me, “It says on the app when you order that we can’t refund you.” I told him I ordered there, not on the app. He went and got someone else, who I would assume is a manager. He came out and unapologetically asked me what I ordered, he went back to the kitchen and a few minutes later a third man came up with my order. He said they upgraded my drink since it took so long….. from a mini to a small. Absolutely ridiculous. I would have expected a Route 44 at this point, or at least some kind of gift card. Even when I left, there were maybe 8 cars there.
I have NEVER written a review like this, but I will never return to this Sonic.

Every time I come here it’s a disappointment. Today Malik served me three drinks which were all melted and only contained half of the ingredients I ordered. I have talked to customer service before about issues at this location and never received any apologies or help.
