Terrible service. I pushed the red button and waited 10 minutes. The car next to me pulled in and they took her order. I pushed the button again, still no one took my order. I guess sonic doesn’t want my business. So I went next door to Jack’s and walk right up they took my order and got my food in less time than I wasted at sonic. I will never go back to this place.

Coming from a town that lost our sonic because of how horrible it was I’m thankful Louisville has a great sonic. I put my order in online, I didn’t wait long at all, everything was correct(it was a large order), and the carhop was extremely nice.

Hands down one of the worst sonic drive ins. It used to be alright, but now it’s putrid. Every single time the order is wrong. How hard is it to make extreme tots? Is it too much to ask for bacon on your bacon cheeseburger? Can I get a cherry with a cherry limeade? Can you save the attitude for your personal life? This is elementary level stuff that is seemingly impossible for this franchisee to achieve.
Get the wrong order with a side of attitude. It’s laughable to even call current management, “management.” It’s anything but. Never going back and wasting money at this circus sideshow.

Update: 2-10-26 burgers were delicious today.
I decreased my stars for the last visit. The burgers were delicious as usual folks said, but the chicken tenders were hard, dry, and dark in color like they had been fried twice or something. I won’t be ordering them again. Otherwise, service was just as friendly and timely. Overall, recommend!
This visit today, 11-20-24, the food was excellent so increases stars back to 5!!

We waited a really long time for someone to even take her order. And then waited a really long time for it to come out. I only ordered a mini milkshake for my daughter and an iced coffee for myself. They gave me the wrong size milkshake but it was actually an upgrade to a small. The iced coffee though was terrible. It was sweeter than the milkshake. It was like drinking straight sugar.

I highly recommend you pass this place by. I have had more negative experiences than I can count, and today was officially my last time to visit. Once, I ordered ahead on the app, and it was 20 minutes later when I got to the restaurant (plenty of time for them to prepare my children’s meals). I waited for another 10 to eventually receive a bag of food that wasn’t anything close to what I ordered. And it was nothing my children would eat. Granted – shame on me for not verifying before I left the restaurant. So that went into the trash, and I wound up making a meal when I had just paid for the convenience of not having to do that. I called the business and asked for a refund….which never happened.
Today – I ordered child size milkshakes for my children as an afternoon treat – again – ahead on the app. It was 15 minutes from the time we ordered until the time we got there (plenty of time to make a shake), and we sat there for another 15 after the screen told us someone was on the way with the order. I tried calling – no answer. I eventually went to the front door to find out what was the holdup and met the car hop coming out the door with the shakes – which were all melted. I picked one up, looked at it and looked at her. She started apologizing and offering to remake. I told her I really couldn’t wait any longer.
I have lived in this town a long time. I have rarely had a positive experience with this place. I strongly suggest you keep driving on North Church – there’s a great Mexican place less than a mile away. You’ll get better, faster service and better food – promise.

I had my usual of a Chicken Dinner and Sweet tea and everything turned out ok. The Tea was alright and I enjoyed my chicken but my toast was put in the box without Being toasted. It was soggy with the butter they place it in right before it gets put in the conveyor toaster. Not sure what happened but it was not good. Honest mistake probably. But like I always say, one mistake doesn’t deserve one star either. I will be back in town and will try again when I am.
