I told her my cranberry grape limeade only tasted like grape, and she said let me see your receipt. She said that the receipt said cranberry limeade add grape. She then walked away with the receipt, and threw the receipt away as she went back inside.
I felt she didn’t care and just wanted us out of there. It was still an hour before they closed, but she treated us like we arrived five minutes before they closed.
Two other burgers, (2 double burgers were ordered with NO pickles and NO BACON due to religious reasons). BOTH burgers were prepared WITH EXTRA pickles and BACON!!! Trashed.
Two Coney footlongs. The hotdogs were awful, absolutely awful. Tasted old and were not eaten.
Two large orders of chili cheese fries with extra chili and extra cheese, (at a cost of $2 each order). What we got was two small orders of hard old fries with around a tablespoon of chili and cheese on each order.
The ONLY thing they got right was ONE burger and ONE order of fries out of a huge $60 order.
Sonic will never, ever get another dime of our $$ again. When my husband picked up the mobile order, he told them, ‘Okay guys…let’s make sure it is right this time because we are always missing food and we didn’t get a refund either time.’
They got really nasty attitudes with him about it. Wish I could leave a -5, but it isn’t available.
Sonic is one of the worst fast food places in the US!
UPDATE:
Talked with SONIC Customer Care. They added some semi free; By this and get this free, stuff of their choice to our account which quickly expired before we got a chance to even use them. They also were going to have the manager of the involved store to call me and he/she never did.
So be aware that if SONIC makes a mistake on a pickup order, they get to keep the money UNLESS you drive all the way back and have them make it right. Since that would have been another 30 mile round trip, that was out of the question.
We are done with SONIC unless they give us the $ back they stole from us.
Last night we made an online order for pickup around 9:30 pm. We had put our dog down due to illness and my husband had spent a couple of hrs burying him. Afterwards, and after such a long sad day, we were starving. We placed a Sonic order at the Lexington Rd Sonic in Athens, Ga.
So my husband drives 15 miles to pickup the food order and they couldn’t find it. Then they finally found it and supposedly prepared it. The food was ‘okay’. And the burgers were really good. But we ordered condiments and a large mozzarella sticks that was $6.89 that we did not get. My husband was NOT going to drive another 30 mile round trip for the mozzarella sticks. So I called repeatedly so they could issue a refund. They would not answer. Then I called again this morning and they would not answer. So I then called Sonic customer service only to be told they cannot issue me a refund, only coupons for certain products of THEIR choice, not ours.
What place of business REFUSES to issue refunds for products not received? That is downright theft and should be illegal!
On top of that, I tipped in advance for a job well done that was far from well done, so that really should be refunded as well.
I worked in the service industry for 10 years waiting tables and I would never have expected a tip in advance of service. I am DONE providing tips without knowing if the service is good or not.
And I am done with Sonic unless they make this right…which they say isn’t possible. We shall see about that.
My girlfriend and I went to the walk-up order station, and the person taking orders said “It will be a minute, hold on a second.” I then replied, “No problem, take your time.” In order to pass time me and my girlfriend made conversation and I made her laugh along the way. The person taking orders who had been silent for the past five minutes then chimes in saying, “I can still hear you, don’t laugh in my ear.”
I can understand a wait, but I can’t understand being that rude to the customer who is patiently waiting.
