Went here on 10/5/25 for dinner, and went through the drive-thru. I ordered a sonic cheeseburger meal, add ketchup, mayo, with mustard and lettuce. When unwrapping it looked like it was almost perfect, but after further investigation, they had too much condiments on burger, especially mustard as you can see in the last pic. The burger was good, but every time you bit it, it was squirting excess mustard out the back. I say give them a try if you are in the area. I was in the area photographing bald eagles.

I know the food never looks like the picture but your paying 10 bucks for a chili cheese dog and tater tots which is bad enough but to not even try to make it how its supposed to be is humorous but disappointing. I thought maybe it all slid down since the dog was put in the bag pointing straight up but nope, barely a mess in the dog bag sleeve thingy. Food was good don’t get me wrong but not giving 5 stars until I find the rest of my condiments.

19 times now they ignored allergy requests for no cherry then simply removed the cherry rather than make new milkshake. No certified manager on site when confronted with issue

Ordered a large milkshake no cherry, they repeated it back twice and I got a milkshake with cherry. Politely asked for it as ordered and watched as they removed the whipped cream and cherry rather than making a new one, so I asked for a fresh shake due to allergy issues for the person I was picking the shake up for and I couldn’t see them make the whole thing, but there was still cherry juice on the shake & whipped cream
This is not difficult and it made no sense why they couldn’t get it right

Sonic is always a good choice when you want something good. Their slushes are good! I love their onion rings! They are a tad bit sweet. The grilled cheese is good too. The pretzel twist OMG so soft & bomb! I get that every-time. I like their mozzarella sticks but the marinara sauce is not good to me.

My husband and I did a mobile order for 2 RT 44 drinks. Checked into spot #4, waited for about 20 minutes, and witnessed 6/7 people get their orders. We still had not received anything. We went through the drive through and waited about 5/6 more minutes for them to make the drinks. We didn’t even get ice in our drinks (ordered it that way). Why did it take so long? I’d rather drive to Broad Street where the workers don’t overlook customers. Can’t believe this was my experience. It’s always been fast and pleasant until today.

I am so very disappointed with the service that I just received at the Sonic on Route one in Chester Virginia. We placed an order for pick up through DoorDash for pick up not for anyone to bring it to us when I got there. They informed me that the order had already been picked up by a DoorDasher. I informed them that it was not for delivery and it it was for me personally they told me to go get a refund through DoorDash and completely refuse to make my food even though they handed my food away to someone who was not me I am so completely disappointed because I have been going to Sonic for years and never been treated this terribly. I also work in customer service and know that if there is an unhappy customer, the least you could do is remake their food when you’re the one who gave it away to the wrong person. I am very disappointed. It was 2 hispanic women who i assume were in charge. they did absolutely nothing to try to rectify the situation except shift the blame to DoorDash when it was their fault forgiven away our food. They basically tell me it’s not their problem.

I have no issue with the food or the wait. While I waited in line a lady walked down the drive through to hand me my drink. The card I wanted to pay with wasn’t with me but was connected to my Apple Pay. I asked if you guys accept Apple Pay and the lady lied straight to my face forcing me to use a credit card. And honestly I wouldn’t be leaving this review if it wasn’t for the fact she lied straight to my face, next time just be honest and say I’m uncomfortable walking with your phone or come up with something better than a blatant lie.

The new burger that I ordered was excellent and The slushy Lemonade was delicious. The environment was nice and clean and the waitress was pleasant. I will be coming back.

I have visited several Sonic’s in different states, hands down THIS location is top tier! Listen, the staff were friendly and professional. The food was fresh and hot. Outside was very clean. Definitely will visit this location again when I’m traveling through VA.
